Vertigo Releasing and Sunrise Films have announced their upcoming horror thriller The Girl in the Trunk will soon be released on digital platforms. A nameless woman wakes up on her wedding day to find her situation less than ideal. For reasons not immediately apparent, she has been knocked out, kidnapped, and is now trapped in the trunk of her abductor’s car as he speeds down the road. She doesn’t know what he plans to do to her, but it’s a hot day in Texas and she could be roasted from the heat before he opens that trunk again. She will have to use her wits and limited resources to find a way to free herself. Claustrophobia movies aren’t for everyone, especially people who are claustrophobic themselves.
