The Genderless Baby

First you do hold your views to be superior, otherwise you wouldn't have them. Everyone believes their views are correct, thus superior, or else they wouldn't have them. It's normal but when you have no evidence to support any of your claims you run into problems.

Second there is no evidence in the article that they are controlling any aspect of the child's choices or development. Gender is stereotype, it classifies everyone on the planet into two groups based on sexual organs. What these parents are doing is trying to create an environment where the child can freely choose how it interacts with the world. They aren't forcing the child to conform to some androgynous standard. Chances are that the child will no doubt lean to either masculine or feminine, all the parents are trying to do is allow for an environment where it can form it's own conclusion.

Have you even read the short story that inspired them to do this? It's a good read. X: A Fabulous Child's Story

:laugh::laugh:

First you say that since I have an opinion it automatically means I think it's superior? Guess what , in that logic, I guess you hold your opinion higher than my opinion since YOU have one. I guess you also think that I should be stoned like the Middle Eastern women who have the opinion that they should deserve equal treatment and respect in all forms of government? That ideology right there is exactly in line with those jihadists or commie leaders like Stalin or Mao that if you don't believe in their tenets they shoot you or kill you in some other way . I tend to believe that everybody's opinion as equal.

Obviously they are controlling their child's choices and development by imposing their viewpoints onto it before it has the legal right to be its won person. And that is wrong. While children shouldn't be allowed to roam like a pack of animals as they are in some public schools , they should be raised so they can better themselves and society in a way that they do not get harmed physically or mentally. Period. And how are the parents giving their child a world where it can explore genders when they are not allowed to explore their own only . But how could they since their parents took the right for them to know themselves right at their birth?

Here's the definitions of stereotype. While it can be a classification and I can give you that one , that's too basic of a definition. Here's two others you are overlooking:

1.A set of inaccurate, simplistic generalizations about a group that allows others to categorize them and treat them accordingly.

2.An idea, trait, convention, etc, that has grown stale through fixed usage

I'll read the story and give it a look , but in all , I respectfully disagree with your opinion. :coolshades:
