The "Den-o or Den-no" Thread

It looks promising. Judging a few eps then should give me a green signal or not.

Even Gekiranger looks better despite to the reactions about the "teh no beltz! gay!" criticism. Believe me, I haven't seen Bouken since Eiji's debut, so I got caught up thanks to TVN's subs. Up to 42 and on. But I chose Kabuto over Bouken just cause I dunno, sounds interesting.

Den-O and Geki are treading among the good/bad border. Let me judge by both episodes and then I'll decide with "path" I shall follow.

I'm not a big fan of trains though, that seems like a really random Kamen Rider gimmick.

Not any more random than Riders fighting with trumpets and guitars, if you ask me. (FTR, I'm not one of the people who think Hibiki is the black sheep, nail-in-the-coffin of the Rider franchise, but its musical premise is still a head-scratcher for me.)

I loathed Kabuto, so I'm hoping Den-O will be good. I like that it seems to be a lighter series, I think Rider really needs it since it's gotten so stuffy and self-important (even in the middle of make-up battles and cook-offs) and really needs to take the piss out of itself.

It looks ok, Not amazenly good. The suits are not that good, nor is the whole Train thing. I'll give it a good 15 episodes or so and if I really like it, I'll keep watching.

Rather early to be choosing whether it's good or not, isn't it? I mean, first impressions based on a couple of 10 second promos isn't exactly what I would call valid. I say wait until you've watched the first few episodes first.
