Well see I rate it by games. I am an rpg gamer primarly. The genesis had:
Phantasy star 2-4
Shining Force 1 and 2
and a couple other random no namers

The SNES had, and this is not a complete list by any means:
Lufia
Lufia 2
Secret of mana
FF4
FF5
FF6
Paladins Quest
Dragon Quest 5 and 6

and lets not forget one of the best games EVER made... Super Mario World.

I was ruled by the hype. Seemed most everyone I knew had a Genesis, I felt more pride in my system when I watched the commercials and I do have to say I wasn't hurting for enjoyment out of that system.

Don't forget, you also had Chrono Trigger.

But yeah... I don't know enough about the time to be able to really tell who was the clear winner.

For me I loved that era. Hell I still have my Sega genesis/32x/sega cd combo. I loved the sega cd. It has some of my favorite RPGS. Lunar, Vay, Shining for cd... Man those were the days.

PC - Great if you like fapping while playing Super Mario Bros on an emulator.
