The Blue Rider
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS
What is the Blue Rider
The Blue Rider is the story of a ninja warrior called Shin and his rivalry with Takezo, The story is losley based on legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi also known as Shinmen Takezo.
But what the graphic novel is more than this, in short its 1 part Naruto, 1 part Toku, 1 part Street Fighter making it a very interesting read

Style: The art on each page could make a decent poster by themselves, the story isn’t constricted to boarders and panels, only on the odd occasion this happens, one way to describe the layout is the “hungry caterpillar†gone wild. I find this very unique as I have not come across a comic or manga designed like this before. However I do know that there are other comics done like this but not in the full as blue rider has been (these include Neil Gaiman's Sandman: The Dreamhunters and Ashley Wood's Popbot)
STORY: the story is told in a past review by an old man but it tells the story on how Shin comes back to town seeking to destroy his dark shadow Takezo. Like any good hero shin must feel defeat before he can begin to succeed.

LET DOWNS/WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER: the only thing which I find a let down about the book is that I found it to short and I found my self wanting to read more. But on the good side this is part one of three.
Upon arriving Shin shortly finds himself in a fight with a group of ninjas who where formed in his absence known as ‘The Bird Catchers’, the tracker of this gang of ninja’s uses wolves to attack but these are easily over powered by the sneaky ninja.

Upon escaping from the fight we meet Shin’s old love interest, shortly after shin is defeated in battle but rescued by Yamato’s old man, and is taken to Yamato (Yamato a former ninja with an interesting fashion sense). While all this is going on we find Takezo is building a mecha (which with a bit of hope we will see more of in volume 2!)
NOT WANTING TO SPOIL ANYMORE I AS IVE POSSIBLEY SPOILED TO MUCH
Final Statement:
Like many great things, knowing this is only part 1 of 3, you know the end is only the beginning

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS REVIEW IS NOT YET 100% COMPLETE, I MAY EVEN GO BACK AND RE-TYPE THE WHOLE THING ... AGAIN, anyways any questions on the blue rider feel free to ask, I will try to answer and if I cant answer fully I definetly know someone that can
