My gripe with that is, yeah Kotaro gave it back but Minami gave Seiji her ring and she still shows up, Zoffy seperated Ultraman and Hyata at the end of Ultraman and still Hyata was there. So if the bonds between the other past Ultras are strong enough for them to come back after they stopped being Ultras, why not Kotaro?

The Ultraman Mebius finale was awesome as well as the movie but Super Sentai is a tradition and they're legends so I'll still go for Super Sentai. Plus, Super Sentai has a ball. Ready? Go!

Just my opinion though aren't Kamen Rider making Kamen Rider The First for the 35th Kamen Rider Universary?
I think it is. Well kind of different from what Super Sentai and Ulraman do, but I think it's the best they can do.

Kamen Rider the First was not intended for Kamen Rider's 35th universary, er, anniversary. In fact, it was released during the 34th anniversary of Kamen Rider.

Aside from Ultraman the tributes Toei cooked up were half-assed for Kabuto and barely adequate for Boukenger. IMHO, the best anniversary year for Toku up to now was 2001. I mean it had the return of the Baltan-seijin in the first Cosmos film, Gaoranger vs Super Sentai, and the best new-gen Rider series in the form of Agito. But that's just my two cents.

It's Anniversary not Universary. The First was made in 2005, the 35th Kamen Rider Anniversary was in 2006.
And Kamen Rider The First is very underpar, it was good, nothing like Kamen Rider 1971, its not a remake, a retelling more like it, but I really think it was not their best job, they really could have shown some more effort.
