Personally, Terminator 3 was my favorite of the trilogy. Folk behind it did a good job of making it into an actual world of Terminator style adventure versus the first movie which was just a simple concept, but perfectly executed. The second movie to me always felt like a marketing gimmick with everything being doubled... two times the Terminators, two people to save now, 10 times the budget, with Arnold being popular now he's a good and nice Terminator, and saying, "Uhhh... oh... um... two Terminators were sent back. Did we fail to mention that?"
It was entertaining, but.... I don't feel like it expanded the mythos as much as just redo and double it.
