Hannover House has announced that it has teamed with Red Bear Entertainment to develop a 3D animated feature called "Terminator 3000," an $70 million movie based on the original "Terminator" film.

Story details are being kept a secret, but the writers and production team have a stated that the goal is to minimize the violence in order to obtain a PG-13 movie. Details will be revealed later this year and production is set to begin in January.

Halcyon Media was the owner of the "Terminator" franchise and went on to develop "Terminator Salvation," the fourth installment. But when sister companies of Halcyon got into financial trouble, "Terminator" rights went on sale. Pacificor ended up purchasing the franchise at a low price and now retains approval over "Terminator 3000."

I had to vomit a few times at the animated and less violence parts.

This isn't looking good.

I don't really have problem with it. The last few movies haven't been that good. So I think it's time to try some thing new...

It depends, is this Terminator 3000 a sequel of Salvation, or a spin-off of the franchise?

Spin-off: Fine, but I don't really care:loltongue:

Sequel: Seriously. Don't you hate it when they switch video fomat on a sequel?:nono:

It'll minimise the violence? Sounds like the animated Rambo and 90s Highlander series all over again.

What next? A T-1000 Direct Credit Card?

Minimize the violence? Oh, god. Can it get any worse than this?

For that story truly to be told, it needs to be rated R, not PG-13! I wish arnold schwarzenegger could do something about this. Like buying the franchise and own it. He can do whatever what he wants. To sees what fits the franchise!

GOOD LORD!

It's the government. They're privately paying these companies to stay hush-hush and make Terminator a childish series, so the public wont take it seriously when a real artificial intelligence program takes over the world and ends the human race. It's been their goal all along.

As much as I enjoy animation I think continuing the regular franchise with that would be really damn odd. But then again the real story ended in T2 and everything else is just gratuitous.

I guess it depends on what they mean by that. Maybe you wouldn't see something like the T1000 jabbing a fingerblade through a dudes eyeball but there would still be plenty of cyborgs, guns, and **** blowing up. I'm not sure PG 13 would have to mean Jim Henson's Skynet Babies.
