Mutagen works by mutating you into a humanoid version of the last thing you touched

I gotta say, that was a pretty good show opener. I like the new story the creators made, and the CGI actually looks pretty good. Can't wait for the next episodes for this. :castlerock:

Am I the only weirded out by Raph having a pet turtle, though to be fair they are doing a trans-species love story too.

Overall it wasn't a bad start, I like how they are trying to tell their own story here instead of just rehashing previous incarnations. Though I still don't get why Nickelodeon likes to revamped 80's action shows rap intros, to be fair here it doesn't feel as out of place as it does for Voltron Force.

I really don't know know what to think after seeing the premiere. Just as many good points as bad points.

+Nice touches of Japanese here and there, considering Splinter's origins.
-Did I hear some Chinese names when he was explaining his origins? Make up your minds, people!
+Love how they had to readjust to fighting as a team and having a leader
+Love how they actually seem like teenagers this time rather than muscle bound adults
-Why is April so young? I swear, she gets younger every time. Having her as a young adult, younger than Splinter that is, is still a dynamic that would work well for TMNT if they would just play it up!
-And now they are turning her and Donny into LOVE interests?! No! A thousand times, no! I'd sooner bring back Venus than see this as a continuous theme in the show. Please tell me Casey Jones is coming back...
+The character development is actually pretty good. Seeing Leo inspired by scifi was hilarious. Mikey is adorable, and he totally was saying the same things I said when Snake turned into a mutant. Raph loves his pet turtle. It's all good!
-While I am glad Kraang is back, what did they do to the Shredder? He is NOT Darth Vader! Stop treating him like he is. And I really hope that his character/armor design improves over time, because right now, LEAST threatening armor design I've EVER seen.
+While I wasn't keen on the OP Theme Song, I think it will grow on me. It's kind of charming.

Seeing the Hanna-Barbara style animation on the Star Trek The Animated Series spoof was actually kind of jarring for me

While I'm not too found of the opening theme, I did like what I saw of it. The animation style is kinda cute, and I like the hints of Japanese here and there.

I still need a replacement for Avengers: EHM…and this could be it.

I find it funny how for all Nick's reboot series like Voltron and now TMNT, they have Rap style theme songs

That said, I love the one for the Turtles
