The prospect of Greta Gerwig taking on Narnia intrigues me, especially after her work on Barbie, which had such a strong blend of heart and humor. However, I worry that the depth and complexity found in Lewis's original stories might get lost in translation; it often happens with adaptations when they lean too heavily on a specific style. I hope she finds a way to capture both the whimsy and the darker themes that make Narnia so resonant.
