This is my entry for the most recent monthly contest over on the PixelGrid forums. The idea was to create a sentai team of rangers based on the winter season, winter holidays, or Christmas. I went for the general winter season for mine. This is Fuyu Sentai Kohruranger (ふゆ戦隊こおるレンジャー). Fuyu (ふゆ) literally means 'winter' and kohru (こおる) means to freeze or to freeze over. So their name is pretty much Winter Sentai Freezingranger.
Since they're based on the winter season, they all feature white and silver more than their actual ranger colors. I thought it would be a good idea like this so that they can blend into snow more than a dominantly red, blue, black, etc suit. Each of their roll calls deals with some wintery, cold, adjective and a royal-like title.

More information on their designs: The suits in general were meant to resemble thermal snowsuits that would be worn in cold temperatures, which is why there are curved lines going down the white parts. The gloves, boots, and collars are all extended, another piece meant to give off an insulated feel to the suits as they'd want there extremities to be warm. Each ranger has a snowflake on their chest representing the winter theme, but also the six members of the team as the snowflake has six spokes and six outer circles.
There are 'W' shaped markings on the gloves (though seen from the side as more of a 'V') and on the boots. The 'W' is for Winter. Their belts are a combination of a small snowflake on top of a W crest. KohruFrost has two extra 'W' shapes on his shoulder armor, and his gloves and boots feature sharper angled W shapes. His gauntlets have blades on them that were modeled after ice skates. I originally had the idea for each ranger to have ice skates built into their boots, but scrapped that idea because it was dumb.
The helmets are the most individual part of their designs. Firstly, the helmets are based slightly on hockey helmets to go with the winter theme. Each helmet has a different visor and mouth plate shape. Also hidden on the silver above the visors is a ranking system of bars, with the lesser amount, the higher rank. Red has a single bar, Blue two, Yellow three, Black four, Pink five, and Frost zero. Frost actually has a diamond shape instead of lines standing in for zero, but also distinguishing him as higher ranked than Red. The top of each helmet is also slightly different for each ranger.
