See, we're all bonding here. :anime:
1. People often mistake my sarcasm for hostility or antagonism, but I'm actually quite a happy, easygoing guy. I hold doors, pull out chairs, smile at babies. I just have a very stilted and varied sense of humor. And the cold impersonality of the internet doesn't help, either.
2. I'm a martial artist. I've been learning and training since I was 12 years old, so close to 9 years now. I've studied Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Hapkido, Eskrima (briefly), and I've trained full-contact sanshou, boxing, and Muay Thai for 3 years. I got into martial arts because I lived on kung fu movies as a child, and the fighting arts have led me into new ventures, from acrobatics and parkour to lifting and climbing.
3. I listen mostly to punk and thrash music, I have a great love for rockabilly, and I can't stand folk or R&B. Or really anything popular on the radio. Some of my favorite bands are AFI (their old stuff, anyway), Vivisick, Bad Brains, Cryptic Slaughter, Buddy Holly, Rancid, Snail Ramp, Tiger Army, Psycho le Cemu, The Hives, Swollen Members, Calabrese, Guitar Wolf, Styles of Beyond, Balzac, Iron Maiden, The Lot Six, Suicidal Tendencies, Powerman 5000, and Mr. Big. I have also been known to mark out for Cyndi Lauper.
4. I'm an on-again, off-again filmmaker. I'd given it up mostly around the time I started college but I still find myself constantly writing scripts and giving other directors advise that makes me wonder why I'm not still giving it a shot. I guess it's the long-shoot hassle the turned me off originally, that and lack of local talent and interest. I am working on another director's adventure film this summer, doing cinematography and stunt coordination and probably co-directing, perhaps that will give me the nudge I need to get back into it.

1) I am addicted to cigarettes. I wish I had never picked up my first pack, but can't make myself quit. I know people who have, but.... well, they're stronger than I am.
2) I'm an obsessive neat freak. To me, there is no such thing as 'clean enough'.
3) Toku is one of very few things that bring me true happiness.
4) I'm a guy who likes soap operas.
5) I'm 23 and still can't drive a freaking car. Well.... I can, but the law suggests that I don't.
Other random things because I'm bored:
- My dream job would be to write for a TV show.
- I plan to adopt at some point.
- My cat hated my ex-girlfriend. Clearly he had better judgement than I did.
- I have a crush on Carrie Ann Inaba (Dancing With The Stars Judge).
- I like country music.
- Eventually I plan to move to California. I am sick to death of Indiana!
2) I'm an obsessive neat freak. To me, there is no such thing as 'clean enough'.
