Sympathy for Mr. Vengence

While crispe, well directed and strong... it just didn't get me like Oldboy. I was hoping for that drop the left and belt you with the right ending.

No surprise, but a long string of brutal tragedies.

Will Symphathy for Mrs. Vengence give me that surprise right hook I've been wanting since Oldboy?

I guess that just depends on the little things you look for in a story. I personally thought that Mr. Vengeance was world's better than Lady Vengeance, which just felt (to me at least) like "Okay, let's wrap this up."

But remember, the revenge trilogy is about just that: revenge. While some twists and turns are sure to accompany that, Oldboy was really the only one that relied on them.

It's not that there isn't a big climax, it's just more satisfying than it is shocking.
