Suspended accounts on Youtube

What's with the suspended accounts? I got some cool videos saved in my fav and now I can't see them because the user was suspened. What's up with that?

Usually it's because of the content of the videos or because of something else the user did. Was there anything similar about the users or about the types of vids they were uploading?

Mostly is Copyrighted Meterial thats being Banned not nessarily content

Content refers to the material/footage that's on the video dude. If it's copyrighted material, it makes sense as YouTube has been cracking down and removing that type of content.

I had two clips removed due to copyright infringement (specially Ergo Proxy's opening and closing credits). As a result of the removed files and the warning from YouTube, I removed all the other clips in order to avoid being banned.

Also, some people would upload adulterated video clips, and although they are flagged as inappropriate, it takes just a dya to get kicked off, and the peopel who made them get banned if they repeat this bahaviour.

I'm very slowly starting to get put off YouTube.

I've been hearing obscure rumours about almost every single Morning Musume video has been deleted off YouTube. Must suck hard for Morning Musume fans.

I understand all this copyright stuff, but sometimes it can really just get in the way a little. Especially for fans of JPop and other Japanese and Asian entertainments (including Tokusatsu), who live outside of Japan, many of whom aren't even Japanese (hey, I'm British!! :anime: ). Of course, you can't be able to hear this stuff locally (imagine Morning Musume or BoA being played on BBC Radio One? Or Kyoryuu Sentai ZyuRanger on GMTV? Highly unlikely), so our only resorce to get this stuff is on the Internet (how else did I learn that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was originally Kyoryuu Sentai ZyuRanger? :P).

And if they're gonna keep deleting videos like this then what's the point in being a video service anyway? If they're going to limit people to uploading stuff like home filmed clips of themselves being stupid and saying "Wooooooooooooooooo!!! Heeeey eveybodeeeeee!!! I'm on YouTube!! WooooooooooooooT!!!", then I'll probably just give up using YouTube, and instead use something like MegaUpload or something else. Which would be a shame because I've surprisingly had a lot of subscribers.

That's not a rumour dude. Unfortunately it's fact. Up-Front Works/Up-Front Agency, which is the management company of all of the Hello! Project acts, actually went to YouTube (official letter from lawyers I think) and demanded that they remove the MM/H!P video clips because they're copyrighted material, particularly the episodes and cips of Hello! Morning that were posted up there. None of my clips have been taken down yet, and there are still some H!P clips that are up there. However it's definitely a smaller amount that what was up there before.
