Super Robot Taisen OG: The Inspector

And now I'm sad, still preferred Angelg in the end (especially since you had to go through special circumstances to even GET Vaisaga or Ashsaber in the game).

In Advance-- the game where Axel and Lamia's plot originates-- Vysaga and Ashsaber were selectable by default. The way OG turned them into secret units always struck me as really random, especially since Ashsaber wasn't even very good in Advance.

Vysaga is also Lamia's upgrade unit in OG Gaiden, probably because OG Gaiden casts her in a rehash of the Master Asia plotline from R for some damned reason. While everything else about that plot is pretty stupid, I always thought Vysaga suited Lamia's personality well.

Still trying to understand why everyone loves it so much too (It's just a slightly smaller Grungust/Dygengar with a cape.

Vysaga predates the DyGenGuard design by two years and originated in a game with no Grungusts whatsoever. Vysaga in Advance was a "high-mobility" Super that filled the same gameplay niche G Gundam and Tekkaman units occupy. Grungusts and DyGenGuard handle nothing like it in their respective games.

BTW, new ending.............what has been seen.......just scars my eyes >_<

I found it... :bueno_bub

Ah hell I forgot about Advance >_< and yeah the Dygengar thing too but still I wish the poor thing got more action time instead of one Phantom Phoenix and too many useless Shadow Lances. Makes me wonder though......how much more they will pull from Advance instead of OG2? (As in mech/story wise since if my memory isn't failing me, there were still a couple large differences between the 2)

The Inspectors seems to be following the OGs version of OG2 rather than the GBA version that came out here, when it comes to most of the changes. So I don't expect to see a ton of stuff from Advance implemented... if nothing else, the OG version of Shadow Mirror is pretty incompatible with the Advance version.

The Inspectors following OGs might also explain why they're taking Vysaga as a canonical Lamia upgrade, since it basically is during OGG (which is a sequel to OGs but I think not to OG2, which I've heard is part of the holdup in making an OG3). Otherwise I think I've caught shout-outs to alpha and SRW4 in the anime, but only a handful.

All right..

I have a question that I really, really want to know. What's the hell the inspector's talking about a disease that they're spreading across the galaxy? What kind of disease?? :sly:

especially since Ashsaber wasn't even very good in Advance.

Well, some of secret characters/units on the game isn't that good, at least for me. Most of the time, I just trying to unlock the secret characters/units just for satisfaction only and ended up not using those secret ^^a

AIDS:laugh:

IIRC, it's human barbaric nature just like Vigagi said. The Inspector's trying to balance the technology of all the planets, and they thinks Earth technology is almost too advance and humanity have potential to become more dangerous with their technology and their nature to have conflict and war.

Ohhhhhh! Now that it does makes sense. I understand why The Inspector's trying to do. Thanks for answered my question.

Well, some of secret characters/units on the game isn't that good, at least for me.

In most of the licensed games, the secret units really are just trophies. It's very rare that any of them are actually very good.

OG's secrets include some really strong units and weapons. So maybe Vysaga was a secret based on that, but I can't begin to figure out what the logic for Ashsaber was. (Besides "we can't think of a character to pilot it.")

FINALLY I got the time to catch up with this Anime, and man, I'm happy! :castlerock:

SWR:OG:TI is one of the best action-Animes I've watched so far, and, it also got a pretty deep and interesting story. Especially the part where the people from the parallel-world talked about there motivations was a realy nice angle on the theme about the existence of war in the world in general.

Did I mention that I love the Mech-Design of this Franchise? I mean, every Robot has a own persona to itself. My personal Favorits so far are Dygengar and the Arcgain, these two are gorgeous! :castlerock2: And I hope that Alteisen gets an upgrade later on, a Giant version of the Revolver stake would be awesome.

But, and know that's just a thing which can bug a few people: The German names, they never were that weird as in this series XD"
The most Robot Names do sound silly when you know what there names mean, Alteisen sounds atleast a little bit cool (It translates, more or less, into "old Iron/junk"), but, this one guy with the glasses with his German Codename...Rätsel Feinschmecker? Do they realy mean that serious? :sly: :eyebrow:
Okay, Schwartz Bruder from G-Gundam had an realy strange name (especialy because schwarz, which is the German Name for the colour Black, isn't even written with an "tz", and it's not even a first name :redface2:), but nothing can top Rätsel Feinschmecker...
I watched his introduction-episode together with a friend (I made him into an KR Fan, and now I tried the same thing with Mechas), and we both were realy impressed by his performance, until he said his name...We coulnd't stop laughing, I'm not kidding here. Not even the translation was correct, this word literally translate into "Question Gourmet"..
My post isn't meant to be a rant about it, but...Rätsel Feinschmecker...I put this name next zu Quadro Vagina in my personal Top Ten List of the weirdest Cartoon-Names in history (and yes, I am aware that it could also be translatet into Bagina, but here in Germany his name was translated into Quadro Vagina at first... )
again, it's not meant just to say something bad about this series (because I love it), I just wanted to point that out XD"
