[Video Game] Super Climax Heroes (All New Info in First Post)

If we get a sequel (I don't see why not) the scheduling will be a bit different this time around.

Normally we would get the game announced sometime around the end of August and we get the first impressions during TGS in September. However, Gaim starts in October as opposed to the last 5 series, so I don't think we will get anything before TGS.

Anyways, I'll be attending the show this year and I truly hope there is a Rider game there for me to cover for you guys.

since they've moved on to Ganbarizer/rising/whatever, i'm guessing they'll going to do more BW's instead of another CH, and even if it's another CH, it's either going to be on PS3 and or Wii U or Vita, especially because from Gaim onwards are going to use the new graphic engine instead of the old one

I don't know about that.

The Climax Heroes series don't use Gambaride's molds, compare the molds in both games and you'll see they are quite different (I suggest taking a look at Ichigo and Decade in particular).

Also, all the Gambarizing footage we've seen so far is pre-rendered stuff. We still don't know the graphical capabilities of the new machines and I really don't expect much. In BattleRide War they re-used the SAME SCH molds with only upgraded textures not really a new "graphical engine" to me.

Finally, the Climax Heroes series is far too popular for BanNam to kill it, they will probably port it to the PS3 (and I still have hope for a 3DS version since it is the #1 gaming system for months now in Japan).

Is it really that much more popular than BW?I mean, the combined sales of SCH weren't close to BW sales, were they?I don't want to sound like a pessimist, nor to stop any of the two series, but don't the numbers usually appeal to the top hats of Bamco?

As far as models go,when will Ganbarizing come out to see the actual models and how they stack up to the BW ones?

Yes, BW sold really a lot 130k in its first week, and topped 2nd place. No other Rider game sold that well in years.
I don't have data for "OOO" or previous titles but "Fourze" and "Super" sold fairly well, 50k each in their first week of sale. However, there are some factors that need to be taken into consideration here, mainly the fact that the PS3, unlike the Wii and PSP, is piracy-proof so, of course an increase of sales in the original copy is kinda obvious.

I guess there is room for both franchises to co-exist (like CH and RiGen), specially on the PS3.

I guess Gambarising comes out next month IIRC.

The thing is to me BW was sort of hyped up with the better graphics and stuff, but IMO the game was much less interesting than SCH so I think the CH franchise will overall do better than BW.

Ganbaride S6 is the last version of the game (and my 500 Ganbaride cards will soon turn worthless , well collecting the TV series cards were worth it though). Ganbarizing should be released in October with Gaim I think, but they only say it's 2013 Autumn with no specific month. And usually they let each version of Ganbaride stay for about 2 months, Ganbaride S6 was only released late July so I don't think Ganbarizing will start in September.

No it isn't.

But it is harder than with wii and psp.

In all honestly, I am surprised with the fact that BW sold better. You'd think, considering how popular handhelds are in Japan, game, that came out on PSP would sell better.

I completely agree, I think fighting games are the perfect fit for Kamen Riders and I'd be very sad if they killed the Climax Heroes franchise.

You must remember that Gambaride 01 came out BEFORE Decade premiered. I guess we should see some machines by the second half of September (there will probably be some at TGS for me to test them)

Yes it is. All of the previous hacks on PS3 failed miserably since they are mostly softmods as opposed to the Wii's and PSP's hardmods. Also, the PS3 ISO scene is pretty scarce if compared to the Wii's and PSP. Knowing that your hack can end like that contributes a lot to a original game sales.

All new firmwares are getting hacked swiftly. Sure, you can't hack newer consoles. And that matters, sure, but it's still not a complete failure and definitely doesn't make console "piracy proof".

But, really, with niche game like that, piracy would affect it more than triple A releases, so I guess that does count.

Trust me once they update there last firmware for the ps3 you going to see a a lot more isos and homebrews since sonys mean focus is the ps4.
