Street Fighter II V

So we're actually talking about hating animated characters? Interesting. Anyway, you dont have to be an anime fan or even a street fighter fan to enjoy II V. Just because Guile kicked their asses doesn't mean a thing. As you can see, Guile is older than the young Ken and Ryu, so obviously a MAN will beat the **** out of a BOY any day of the week regardless of fighting skill. As far as i'm concerned, SFIIV, Alpha, Generations, The Movie and any other movie or series that comes out is ok with me.

If you want to hate on something, hate on the Tekken movie. That was disgusting!

No. Just a moron.

I have vol. 1. It contains eps. 1 thru 7. I must say that there is a lot of good action. I love the part when Ryu and Ken fight Guile in that bar. Too bad they got their fucking asses kicked.:nono:

You damned hypocrit.

I can hate whatever I want. I say you do have to like SF to like II V. There was nothing good about the series beyond what fans of the games would find interesting.

As a fan of SF I thought it was good. They ruined Cammy (Any fan of Cammy would agree with this). Not interested in seeing "origin" animes of Ryu and seeing Ryu take a whole episode to fire a Hadouken either. Though it was nice that Dhalsim had importance in the series. I did like seeing how Ryu and Ken discovered Hadou. I just dont want origin stories anymore. Give me fights with the special powers. That's what made the KoF mini series so bad fucking ass. They werent afraid of using everyones special abilities and used them earnestly.

And yes. If anyone has ever seen Street Fighter II The Animated Movie knows that Street Fighter Alpha the movie is a pile of garbage in comparison and just complete crap by itself. The writing was bad, the action was lame, and the Alpha characters were just thrown in as cameo extras. Sakura didnt even fight, she broke her fucking ankle, Akuma didnt fight and was the size of an EFFING TROLL. Wth hell was up with that? Even if Ryu did fight Akuma, he was so unrealistically huge and muscular that the fight wouldn't have been fun to watch at all. Is he that big in the games? No. So why the hell did they make him a giant here?

(I know there's a new movie out that has an Akuma fight. Saw a clip. Not interesting in purchasing the title or wasting my time though.)

Speaking of Akuma, I loved all the Akuma cameos in the SF2V series. That was funny to see.

That being said, has anyone seen the 1990's American Street Fighter cartoon based on the movie? It started becoming more true to the game storylines in the second season

The new SF movie featuring Akuma is pretty bad by the way Grrn, there has'nt been a decent Street Fighter movie or product in the medium since the anime film

really? I might have seen it but I don't remember. I want to say I have seen an episode. But I seriously cant remember at all. I do remember seeing the Double Dragon and Mortal Kombat cartoons though. lol.

*Just went and looked up an intro for the cartoon*

Wow! I guess I DIDNT see it then. O_O; I dare say the animation looks good... I might try to download an episode or two. It looks decent.

Yeah, I've seen the American cartoon. Didn't like it neither did I like the "Van Dam" version of Street Fighter.

Im in the middle of watching the ST II V anime right now. Pretty good, although not concidered cannon in the least. I also recently picked up the SF II movie that was just rereleased unedited (full Chun-Li shower scene...hubba hubba ) and also SF Alpha movie (which I liked...eventhough I didn't much care for the art).

What's really good though are the SF II comics by Udon under the Image imprint. Really good at fitting in w/ the cannon of the SF universe as well as a lot of Akuma kicking all SORTS of ass!!
