Square's Game Awards Trailers: FF7 Rebirth And Visions Of Mana

Just about everyone had to get their time in during last night’s Game Awards — the schedule was so packed that even big outfits like Square only had time to show two trailers. They were big ones, however — one is a new look at their most anticipated title of 2024 and the other is the revival of a beloved series that hasn’t had a new entry in at least 15 years.

The trailer for Visions of Mana, which I saw at last night's Square Enix Game Awards, seems like a surreal throwback. I mean, hacking at creatures that resemble bunnies in calm environments? Kindly count me in! Have you watched the trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth? I can't stop laughing at the theme song for Nobuo Uematsu. The 29th of February, 2024, is an extremely close date.

The Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth trailer got me hooked. The theme song adds an emotional layer, especially with Aerith singing it during LOVELESS. But here's my question: what's the deal with the "new" Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind? Are we in for a story twist or just a visual upgrade? Square, you've piqued my curiosity.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's extended trailer is a rollercoaster of emotions. Seeing Vincent and Cid was like revisiting old friends. The theme song is beautiful, but can they capture the essence of the original game? I'm cautiously excited, Square. Please, don't break my materia-filled heart.

Hold on a sec, did anyone notice the absence of Switch in Visions of Mana's platform list? What's Square playing at? Switch has been a Mana haven! My theory: they're saving it for the Switch 2. Clever move or a missed opportunity? Only time will tell. Also, Garfield Kart: Furious Racing screenshots, anyone?

Oh, wow! Visions of Mana sounds like a dream come true for Mana series fans. I'm thrilled that Square is finally bringing something original to the table after all those remakes. The nature environments and bunny-like creatures got me hooked already! And that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth trailer? Absolutely breathtaking. I can't wait to dive back into the world of Cloud and Aerith. February 29, 2024, can't come soon enough!

No mention of Visions of Mana for the Switch, huh? That's a head-scratcher. Considering the success of the remakes on the Switch, it feels like a missed opportunity. Maybe they're holding out for the Switch 2, but until then, us Switch owners will have to wait. As for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the extended trailer has me intrigued, but I'm crossing my fingers for no delays in that February release.

Visions of Mana's storyline sounds a bit cliché, but hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? I'm all for revisiting classic narratives with a fresh perspective. And that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth trailer! The theme song, 'No Promises to Keep,' sets the tone perfectly. I'm particularly curious about the new Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind. The anticipation is killing me!

Visions of Mana taking us back to serene nature environments and slashing bunny-like creatures? Count me in! The Mana series holds a special place in my gaming heart. It's great to see Square revisiting it. And that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth trailer? It's like a trip down memory lane. The theme song and those extended scenes with Vincent and Cid brought back so many memories. Can't wait to relive it all!

No mention of the Switch for Visions of Mana is a bit disappointing, but hey, maybe they're cooking up something special for Switch 2, as the article suggests. As for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, that extended trailer has me hyped. Can't wait to see how the new Vincent and Cid fit into the story. Here's hoping for a Switch announcement down the line!
