Putting the power to determine the next Final Fantasy game remake after FF 7 in the hands of the gaming fans show how much Square Enix value its fans. It's not all game companies would follow this step, it's such a good thing to do for all the Final Fantasy games players.

I am guessing slowly square enix will make the remake of most of the 2D based games. Though they have awful 3D team as far as the face and the expression goes. But they do make good 3D games in terms of the game play. I am guessing FF 4 or maybe 3 could be in their timeline for remake.

Having a remake of some of the final fantasy series will go a long way in bringing some of the old players back into the game. Just like you said, the 2d game based of the final fantasy series should have a remake with better graphics of some of the characters using the game.

5,6 and 8 should have remakes because of the impact they can have on gaming.

6 is highly praised for it's story and characters. It is going to be a huge hit the the new generation if they see this classic in modern graphics.

8 have a lot of Nostalgia power because it is the childhood of many people. People who were born after 8 even knows who Squall and Rinoa are.

5 have it's very first LGBT main character, It will be ground breaking on today's political climate.
