Technically FFVII is already a trilogy, didn't anyone play Before Crisis? Thats pretty canon in my book.

And I say if people want to play FFVII, they can go on ebay and search FFVII and there it is for under $60! :O_O: Amazing, all they need is Paypal, a mailbox and a PSX.

It is canon but it's a spin-off just like Dirge of Cerberus so it does not count. Before Criss focuses on the Turks which isn't all that special. FFVII is the main story and Crisis Core is it's prequel simple as that.

FFVII does need to be remade. S-E has remade 1~4 already. Doesn't that say something? Sure those games may be perfect as is but it's outdated and needs to be refreshed. It's also a business decision.

No matter how many times they deny a VII remake, truth is they have it on their checklist.

Thats just porting a SNES/NES Game onto a newer console with updated sprites =/ (except in the case of III) And there wasn't high demand for those either, but as a business decision that is a good idea, plenty of insane FF7 fans and weeaboos alike will buy it and the collectors edition :thumbs: Still though It shouldn't be remade, too much FFVII focus, I mean its starting to get like calling yourself a FFVII fan is different from calling yourself a FF fan. And personally IMO/Possible Fact FFVII is one of the most overrated Japanese games in the history of Japanese games.

The reason why every FF is different is because they want new players to get introduced to the world of FF without having to play other installments. Each title is standalone so you can be a fan of VII but not be a fan of the other FF titles.

You can stick a totally different name to a final fantasy title. The only thing that makes it a Final Fantasy is just the name itself and some of it's traditions.
