Spider-Man 3 - Talkback *SPOILERS*

I'm a huge fan of the Spider-man movie franchise. Seen the fist one 7 times in the theatre and the second one only twice but caught it on DVD two times after that. Was I disappointed to hear that we had to wait 3 years for the next flick? Of course but I waited patiently trying to avoid every spoiler I could. Just an hour ago I exited the theatre happy but not satisfied.

Out of all the three, Spider-man 3 is definately the weakest. It had its good and bad. Highly entertaining but quite random at the same time.

So, uh, why did we need Sandman in this?

To essentially give the guy something to make him matter to the film beyond the "humble outcast". Raimi adores older Lee/Dikito stuff, and Sandman was something he wanted to include. Supposedly his keeping him in (alongside Gwen) was to compensate for including Venom, whom he despised using.

Vemo, is just too complex a character to be used again. In original MArvel he was the result of YEARS of set-up. now we have three times where they have tried to duplicate it and failed. the problem is we keep expecting 616 Venom and we can't get that. personally I don't think Raimi could have done much better of a job.... maybe give the symbiote a better origin

I just got back, I loved it. Pretty much everything about it I loved, I really didn't dig Sandman's story until the end to be honest though. Venom was awesome, the new goblin again, was awesome. Not enough Gwen though, thats the only thing I didn't like.

I just watched this last night and indeed it was long. LOL. My only real complaints about the experience were the fact that my butt went very numb and the jerks behind me. It's really hard to enjoy the experience when they are screaming "Oh, come on! How can you **** up this movie!" Yeah...magic lost. They were mostly alone on that opinion in the theatre lol.

[hide]I really liked it though. I mean...the sandman was really cool. I really liked Harry which is surprising because I hated him in the first two movies. I just...he just really bothered me lol. Sandman was really cool too. I especially love the way they had him getting up after he became all sandy. How he was having trouble and falling apart at first. Way cool.

I really like the way he portrayed dark spidey/peter parker (well...the hair and the eyeliner was weird. I felt like I was watching a three days grace video but with jazz music or something...lol). The way people stared at him like he was a loser when he strutted down the street. So funny.

I was worried about Topher Grace being Venom...just because I'd want it to be Eric Foreman but then it wouldn't be. I really liked the way he played Eddie Brock though. And they way they did Venom over all was just so cool. So excited!

Also...I love Jamieson! SO FUNNY WTF!

And that was like...the best role that Bruce Campbell had in all three spiderman movies. I was laughing my ass off at that part! <3's Bruce Campbell. [/hide]
