South Park Muslim Controversy

Part of that posting has this:

I say people need to pull the sticks out of there butts! Its south park for **** sake!

Making death threats over a cartoon... I just don't get religion :/

Either the makers of South Park knew this would happen, or assumed the bear suit was a clever way around showing the religious figure on screen, as apparently thats a very very big deal. They had an episode before that this obviously references where they showed Family Guy have him on the show, but then the caption 'Comedy Central does not allow this to be shown' popped up, and that was the joke.

I doubt anything will happen to them, but it is interesting that, once again, South Park, the show that intentionally offends as many people as possible (and in most cases shows just how idiotic those people can be) has offended someone.

Eh, South Park is stupid. But, the whole point of the show is to offend everybody, so that people will realize that they take things way too seriously.

Edit: I dunno, after talking to some of my friends, and hearing what has been going on in recent episodes, I think that there is just too much intended offensiveness, and not enough basic humor. Forgot why Issac Hayes left.

I can never understand why Muslims find this so damn offensive, but yet they give him this warning?! Why can't they just cool their jets down?! It's just that fucking cartoon!! Stupid muslims people! Not all muslims are stupid, just certain people!

Regardless dude, I wouldn't be that racially insensitive. Not all Muslims are like that, just some extremists. As far as I know, the Muslim Faith shares some basic similarities to that of Christianity, and even then, it's not like their weirdo's... they just believe what they do. We just think it's crazy because it's this day and age... many people died years ago because of the Crusades.

I'm not trying to rationalize or justify the actions these extremists of the Muslim Faith practice, I'm just saying that they believe what they will... and as long as they continue believing that they are justified, we can't do much about it.

The thing is , SentinelKing, is that in the religion of islam, the worst thing that you can do is depict Mohammad with a picture. If someone does that they are to be put to death.
