I have yet to watch the final episodes, but I've really enjoyed this OVA. Not only has the Mech been killer, but the story was really pretty intresting as well. Also the music has kicked ass and I've listened to both soundtracks over and over and over.

maybe I got into this a little late but i downloaded the batch eps and plowed through them in a day. Needless to say, I liked it. The ending was a downer, but they usually are when it comes to anime. Am I the only one that thinks Apollo got cosmically screwed by the ending?

Oh yeah...he got screwed BIG TIME.

I also just LOVED the music for the series as well. But it was composed by Yoko Kanno, so it just HAD to be awesome by default.

I managed to watch all of them on Youtube before they were taken down. Now I want to watch them all the time. Anyone know where I can find Direct Downloads of this awesome series?

I watched it and yeah the ending sucked big time.

The ending didn't necessarily suck, it was just way too open ended. Which was probably intentional seeing as they have a sequel in production.

Well, since no one's talked about the OVA, I guess I will. After having been aquarion deprived for several months, the OVA finally came out and I was overjoyed. Basically, it's an alternate retelling of the story. I was worried at first when they introduced new elements and got rid of old ones, but in the end it worked out fine. Overall, if you're looking for the same stuff that made the main series great, then you will love this.
