So....I read 'Agony in Pink'

Agony in Yellow is pretty much a re-make, with a few new elements.

One thing they do alright is vividly describe how fine and sexy their Naked Bodies are...:anime:

Then the bad stuff starts happening.....:sweat:

Then the REALLY bad stuff starts...:sick:

There was a case here in Britain a few years ago where a guy was charged under the Obscene Publications Act for writing a fic about Girls Aloud (a girl band) being tortured, raped and murdered. He was found not guilty. Back in the day there was an infamous torture porn fic up somewhere about Avril Lavigne and Amanda Bynes, and when it got taken down, people were saying the author was being investigated by police. I don't know if that's true

Is it weird to say that when I read this, I actually felt... normal? I mean, not in a good way, but it didn't seem weird. I didn't enjoy it, but I didn't seem to find anything wrong.

It might be the fact that I watch too much horror film, but that's just me. Still, this author had no idea how to write. The grammar was just repetitive and bad and that's coming from me, who's like, **** at grammar. Other than that, I just have to ask, how many other people are actually turned on by these kinds of things? It strikes me as weird that people would even for the slightest moments of their lives, think of having sex with tortured victims.

I think it's the clash between the fandom and the subject material - Rule 34 so to speak? When we were kiddies happily watching Power Rangers we didn't go "Damn, I'd love to see that Pink Ranger get tortured and brutally killed!" (I hope we didn't) so it comes as a bit of a shock the first time we read something like this

Oh hey, I remember this! Back in the day, it was right up there with 'Celebrian' and 'Artemis's Lover' as one of the Big Three Awful Fanfics of GODWHY. I still wouldn't touch it with a 39½-foot pole, of course, but seeing it still traumatizing people is ... kinda quaint :')

When I was linked to it years ago it was pretty awful, I just couldn't wrap my head around it. Maybe now I've been desensitized by places like 4chan but I take a look at it and it's nothing really. I don't find it disturbing or really that bad. Quite entertaining actually. meh.
