oh cool. thanks guys! Are the people in there really scary or unfriendly? Lol I usually... feel kind of freaked out when going into shops I've never been into and buying things I've never bought xD

The uncle is super friendly.Even if you didn't buy anything, you can just chit chat to him.But try not to talk the latest sentai, because i think he never watch it and didn't know the names.

Ask him things about when is stock coming or you can even ask him to bring in certain goods for you. He's just that friendly.

As for the other patrons, they can be friendly. If you bump into me:P

But normally,it's a case of just shopping around. It's quite rare to see stranger walking up to you and talking to you. Most bring their friends along.

China Square Central is very good place for any toku or japanese fan. It's just that good:patriotic:(damn wrong flag)

I see... lol that's cool I think I'll drop by one of these days! But that's probably the only shop that sells toku-stuff right?... I wish Somerset/Orchard area would have a similar shop lol

THAT'S WHEN YOU'RE WRONG!

That same uncle,he had a branch shop at Orchard too.Wheelock Place, which is walkable from Ion,has a place that Uncle Ng owns too.

It's called Dollz Inc and holds stocks of toku toys as well.Usually it's more expensive by A LOT,like 20 bucks more or even higher because of the rent in Orchard. However, that store's main focus are dolls which uncle's wife likes.

When Chinatown do not have stock for something, you might be able to see it at Orchard, but it's definitely more expensive.

I bought an IXA with stand for $60 there but that's because Chinatown didn't have it anymore. The branch at wheelock place have vintage mechas too but likewise it's expensive too.

there's one at Kallang leisure park too? hmm but do you know if shops like Comics Connection sell the smaller toku stuff like keychains/plushies, stuff like that?

Comics connection used to sell them alot, even the candy toy mechas. But recently,i realized it dropped alot after Go-Onger's run.

If you're looking for candy toys, you might wanna try a shop in Bugis.I got my candy toy Shinken Oh there.I think the name is something like Aniplay. It's at Sunshine plaza

oh cool thanks for the info! Seems like I need a day to slowly visit all these shops, but I'll try comics connection later to see if anything is there haha
