Silent Hill the Movie

Pyramidhead was more fan service than anything else. He was only in the 2nd game (I'm pretty sure) so throwing him in here was kind of a bonus. I thought he was used enough and if they make a second movie following the second game's story (god I hope so) they can explain him and feature him more.

[HIDE]In Silent Hill 2, Pyramidhead is a manifestation of James' reluctance to admit his guilt over what he had done. I won't spoil what it was he did. In the Silent Hill historical society you see a painting of Pyramidhead. He was kind of an executioner for the cult in the olden days.[/HIDE]

Here's for hoping it gets a sequel, cuz I like I've said the world was grotequely beautiful and I'd like to see more storys take place in it at the hands of Chris Gans.

But only a 20 million pull and it having to contend with Mission Impossible III, not to mention bad reviews... I hope it comes out on top.

It DID take the number one spot at the box office, and considering it cost 50 mil to make, thats not too bad. Movies like this usually make their REAL profit on DVD rentals/sales.

I hope that bad reviews don't do it too much damage and that it's able to stay afloat to make a good profit.

I do very much want to go back to Silent Hill, aside from the ending it was a damn unique and horribly beautiful world.

After missing out on it in the movie theater, I rented it off of Netflix.

I watched the documentaries. I read up on the movie. I watched bits and pieces of the spooky parts so I wouldn't get spooked.... AND I WAS STILL FREAKED OUT!

Now THAT'S a good horror film. Horror films don't spook me at all. It's the psychological thrills paired with the "normal" monsters that freak me out. That's exactly what Silent Hill did.

I can't wait for the sequel!
