SIEGE GUNDAM
[Title fades away and a space shuttle entering the earth's atmosphere came into the screen]
Frontier Calender Year 019
"Earth...it has been sometime since I returned," thought a Japanese young man, 19 years old, with blue colored hair. He took off his sunglasses and looked around him. "There should be someone who is here to fetch me right?" he said to himself.
"Is this Lieutenant Asakura Sho?" came a male's voice behind him. Sho turned around and saw a German young man wearing the Earth Union Defense Force's uniform. "I am Lieutenant Schneider Oliver, you can call me Oliver."
"Oliver," Sho said. "So you are here to fetch me?" he asked.
"Yup, need help with the bags?" Oliver smiled.
"I'm ok," Sho replied. "I was wishing a beautiful lady would be here to receive me," he said in a slightly disappointed tone. Oliver laughed.
"Let's go," Oliver said and ushered Sho to his vehicle.
"How long have you been away?" Oliver asked.
"About...18 years," Sho said. "My family migrated to Colony One, one year after its completion."
"I see..." Oliver said. "I have only been up there once. That was last year. Great place isn't it?"
"Well...you will not think so if you lived there," Sho sighed. Oliver was surprised. By this moment, they had already reached the gates of the base.
[Earth Union Defense Force - Mobile Suit Base]
"What do you pilot?" Sho asked as the both of them were walking towards the command center.
"Zaku," Oliver smiled. Sho nods as they walked towards the lift lobby. The lift came and they entered. Once the lift door closed, Oliver folds his arms. "If I'm not wrong, you are a Newtype. Right?"
Sho looked at him and smiled.
"So what if I am a Newtype?" Sho asked. Oliver was surprised. "I am still a human being after all isn't it?" he smiled. Oliver smiled and nods. A 'ding' sound was emitted from the speaker and the lift door opened. Oliver and Sho came to a door with a label 'Serenity' on it. Oliver knocks on it and waits for a response.
"Come in," came a lady's voice. Oliver pressed the door handle and both of them entered. Oliver saluted on entering. Sho was surprised, but quickly saluted when he saw the lady's rank.
"A female captain?" he thought.
"So you are our new pilot?" the lady asked. "I am Captain Kikyo Asagi, captain of the ship 'Serenity'."
"Serenity?" Sho asked.
"Yup," Oliver said. "It is the ship which we belong too. In the EUDF, there are many different squadrons. Each squadron has its own 'mother ship'. In our case, Serenity. Each ship will be armed with up to eight Mobile Suits."
Asagi returned to her seat. "Take a seat, both of you."
"How many Mobile Suits do we have?" Sho asked.
"Three," Oliver replied with a sharp look.
"Why...do we have only three?" Sho asked. Oliver grinned and looked at Asagi.
"Because we only need three," Asagi said. "Lieutenant Oliver here is the pilot of a special Zaku. Another pilot is out at training now. You will meet him later. Oliver, take him to the ship hangar."
['Serenity' Mobile Suits Hangar]
"I see only two Mobile Suits," Sho said. They were standing on a platform, in front of the actual hangar. A unique looking Zaku stood at the right of the hangar, and a unknown Mobile Suit stood at the left. There was an empty space in the middle. "So you are piloting that?" Sho asked, pointing at the Zaku. Oliver nods.
"That is called the Aurora Zaku," Oliver explained. "Aurora is able to move at Ultra-Sonic speed in battle, thanks to the special booster pack at the back. Its speed allows it to fly towards enemy MS, slay them, and move away before the pilot even knows what is happening."
Sho nods. "The Mobile Suit over there is codenamed 'Yasha'," Oliver said.
"Yasha?" Sho asked.
"I see that you have been introduced to my buddy," someone said. Sho turned around and saw an American young man, 20 years old walking towards him. He held his hand out and said, "Maxell Ray, just call me Ray. Yasha is my buddy," Ray said.
"Looks like you have a good relationship with your MS," Sho smiled. "Name is Sho, Asakura Sho," Sho said as he shakes his hands with Ray.
"Ray is the marksman of our squadron, hence his MS is suited to his abilities," Oliver explained. "Yasha is the Gunner of our team."
"What about me? What do I pilot?" asked a bewildered Sho.
"I have no idea, but what I know is your MS will be something that only Newtypes can pilot," Ray said. Sho looked at them and sighed. Suddenly, the alarm went off.
"What the..." Sho muttered in shock.
"Lets go Sho, this is the activation signal!" Oliver shouted as he ran off towards his MS.
"Go to the bridge, watch us from there," Ray smiled and made a 'thumbs up' sign, and then ran towards his MS.
[Serenity Bridge]
The operators were busy at their own panels when Sho came in. Asagi was already at her captain seat.
"Take a seat Sho," Asagi said. "Serenity, take off!" she ordered. Sho quickly takes his seat and puts on his safety belt.
"Serenity, take off!" one of the operator echoed and pushed the throttle. Just five minutes after the alarm went off, Serenity was already leaving the base.
"What is the situation?" Sho asked.
"We received information on unknown machines nearing the earth atmosphere," Asagi said.
"But I thought such jobs are the duties of the Patrol Squadron!?" Sho exclaimed.
"These few years, the relationship between EU and UCF has been very bad," Asagi said. "There are many times when the UCF has threatened to wage war on us. That's why we cannot let our guard down." Serenity left the earth's atmosphere at this moment.
"Captain!" one operator called out.
"What do we have?" she asked.
"Two unknown Mobile Suits at our bearing 180, 2000 stationary," the operator reported.
"Mobile Suits?" Asagi thought. "Send out Yasha."
[Hangar]
"Lieutenant Maxell Ray, Yasha, taking off!" Ray reported and the MS thruster pushes Yasha out of Serenity. Yasha's thrust boosters ignites, pushing Yasha towards the suspected targets. "Yasha, spotting two objects my bearing 170, 1500 stationary...no they seem to be moving now, towards us," Ray reported.
"Hold any visual?" Asagi asked.
"Negative, currently trying to communicate with them," Ray asked.
"Captain, the MS have picked up speed and are flying towards us now!" one operator exclaimed. Asagi and Sho were shocked.
"Capt! I receive no response from them! Getting ready to battle now," Ray said. Just as he finished his sentence, laser beams were seen shooting towards him! "Darn!" Ray cursed as he swerved his MS out of the way.
"Fire starboard Stinger Missiles and Anti-Laser decoys!!" Asagi commanded.
"Starboard Stinger Missiles and Anti-Laser decoys fire!" the gunner echoed and pressed the firing buttons. Missiles flies out from the starboard tubes of the ship towards the direction where the laser beams came from. The Anti-Laser decoys hits the laser beams and protected the ship.
"Let's go!" Ray shouted and charged into battle. He could see the two MS now. "Two Zakus my bearing 180, 800 moving towards me! Attacking now!" Ray said and fires at the enemies with his beam rifles. The two Zakus evaded the shots and pulled out their beam sabres as they flew towards Yasha. Yasha flies out of the way as a Zaku slashes his sabre down. The other continues firing at Yasha, forcing it to use it's shield to protect itself. Yasha bursts upwards, flies away from the beams and started blasting away at the Zakus, successfully hitting one of them!
"One down!" Ray said in a merry tone and continues to fight the left over Zaku. At the bridge, Sho was watching the battle seriously. As a Newtype, he was able to sense both the Zakus and Yasha's next movements. But he was not able to fully utilise his abilities yet.
Yasha bursts towards its left as the Zaku slams its sabre down. Yasha quickly points his beam rifles at it.
"Game Over," Ray said and blasts it into space dust. "Enemies destroyed, area clear."
"Send out the recovery team," Asagi ordered. "See if we can get any fragments of the Zaku."
"Roger," one operator replied and continued his job. Asagi looked at Sho, who was perspiring.
"Are you ok? Sho?" Asagi asked. Sho looks up and nods. "Relax, after we get back, I will show you your Mobile Suit."
"Mine...?" Sho asked. Asagi smiled. At the hangar, Yasha's cockpit opened and Ray stepped out from it. Oliver was standing on the platform opposite.
"Had a great workout?" Oliver asked.
"Yup. Well, what can I do?" Ray said and shot a look at Oliver. "It always has to be me. You cannot appear just yet isn't it?"
Oliver was surprised by Ray's words. But he smiled. "You are right though."
Back at the base
Sho, Oliver, Ray and Asagi were all at the hangar. A huge trailer drives into the hangar slowly. On its carriage was Sho's new MS. But it was still covered with canvas. Slowly, the technicians and machines brings the MS to its feet and puts it to the empty space between Yasha and Aurora. Soon it was time.
"This new Mobile Suit is a highly confidential MS built by the EU," Asagi said. "It is so special, it can only be piloted by a Newtype," she said and looked at Sho. She turned around and snapped her fingers. The technicians removed the canvas to reveal the new Mobile Suit. Everyone was awed by the look of it. "Introducing, Siege Gundam."
"Gundam..." Sho muttered.

Earth Union Parliament Hall

"As I said many times before, the Earth Union will not grant the colonies independence," a minister said. "All of us belong to the same race, why should we differentiate ourselves?"
"Ever since the completion of the colonies, when have the EU ever shown concern for the colonies?" answered the leader of the United Colonial Federation. The EU ministers looked down and whispered among themselves. "Plus, I think the people of the colonies do not want to be governed by normal humans too."
"What do you mean by that?"
"The people of the colonies are a class above the earth humans," the leader, Colonel Londe Karn replied. "Therefore we think that we should only be governed by ourselves, and not outsiders."
The parliament was enraged by Londe's speech.

Sho was sitting in his cockpit, slowly familiarizing with the controls. A pink colored hair lady came up and stood at the cockpit entrance.
"You are?" Sho asked. The pretty lady saluted.
"Sergeant Leila Hernandez, Sir!" Leila reported. "I'll be your personal assistant from now onwards.
"Well, that's more like it," Sho said with a wide smile.
"Huh?" Leila blinked her eyes.
"Oh! Nothing! Haha!" Sho laughed. Soon, Sho decided that he had enough for the day and turned off the systems. He and Leila stepped onto the elevator beside the Gundam and went back to the ground. They reached the ground and started walking back to the command building. Oliver stepped out from his cockpit and this moment.
"That lady..." Oliver muttered.
"Sir, have you heard of the latest news?" Leila asked.
"What news?" Sho asked.
"The meeting between EU and UCF seemed to end quite badly, with UCF still insisting that they want independance," Leila said. "What do you think of it?"
"Me?" Sho asked. "Hmm...all of us are humans isn't it? Why differenciate ourselves?"
"From what I know, the EU has been doing badly in the relationships between the two sides," Leila said. "Despite saying that the colonies are part of the EU, the EU has always been limiting the resources sent to the colonies. This caused many people to become jobless over there. The colony is supposed to be a new era to mankind...but it seems that life on the colonies are no better then life on earth. Isn't it?"
Sho did not reply, for he knew the life on the colonies much better then most people do.
"Sir?" Leila called again. "You ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Sho replied. Back in his colony home, Sho's parents had died. Despite living in well built homes, they soon found that they could not afford the different bills. Sho joined the military so that he could earn the income to support his family. Soon after he joined the military, his parents died in a car crash. He is the only child in the family. "Indeed...life on the colony is not that good at all..."
Leila was surprised.
"Whatever it is, I just hope that there will be no war," Sho said and looked at Leila. "None of us want war right?" he asked. Leila was surprised by his question, but nods.

[Space Port, Earth]
Londe sat in his seat, with his assistant in front of him. His assistant, Captain Kusanagi Rin noticed that her superior was in deep thoughts.
"A penny for your thoughts?" she asked. Londe looked at her. Rin thought she had did the wrong thing, but Londe smiled. Rin relaxed.
"What do you think of my intentions? Rin?" Londe asked.
"I believe that Colonel Londe's always want the best for his people," Rin replied. "Looking at the high amount of jobless people in the colonies, I believe only under Colonel Londe's leadership will the situation improve. The EU simply does nothing to help!" Rin said, with a bit of anger.
"You really think so?" Londe asked. Rin nods. "I see...I am glad. The EU has always reserved the better options for itself, ignoring the poor on the colonies...the people have placed their hopes on me, and I cannot disappoint them."
"I believe the colonies will one day gain their deserved independence and the situation will surely improve!" Rin said.
"Thank you, Rin," Londe said and smiled. Rin blushed. "What do you think of going to war?"
Rin was shocked. "Sir! You can't be serious!" she exclaimed. Londe looks at her and then looks out of the window. The shuttle had left the earth atmosphere already. Londe and Rin looked at earth. "Pretty isn't it? Our earth..."
Londe looks back and picks his cup up.
"If we really have to go to war," Rin said. Londe looks up in surprise. "I will fully support you, Sir," Rin said with a determined look.
"I understand..." Londe said softly, and then looked back at earth. "I supposed my 'bug' has already started gathering intelligence..." he smiled.

[Outside earth's atmosphere]
Dummy missiles fired off from the port of Serenity towards Siege Gundam. Sho looked on at the missiles and closed his eyes to concentrate.
"Funnels...GO!" Sho shouted. Four funnels detached themselves and flies towards the huge number of dummy missiles. Sho closed his eyes again. "How many are there...how many...50! Destroy them Funnels!" Sho opened his eyes and shouted. The beam funnels started firing away at the dummy missiles, destroying them all.
"Launch the dummy MS," Asagi ordered. 10 dummy MS flew out from Serenity and flies towards Siege Gundam. Sho pulls the throttle and Siege Gundam bursts upwards, away from the dummies. Then he looked back down again and used the Manual Multiple Target Locking System to lock on to five targets. The four beam funnels flies towards the dummies and destroys them. Siege Gundam flies towards one of them and blows it up with his beam rifle. The other five flew out from the debries very quickly towards Siege. The dummies started firing away at Siege Gundam with their beam rifles, but the funnels had returned to Siege Gundam and formed an energy shield! Sho deactivates the funnels and skillfully pilots Siege Gundam around to avoid the simultaneous firing from the dummies. Everyone watched as Siege pulls out its beam sabre and slices a dummy into half, before turning around and blasting the other into space dust with its vulcan machinecannons. Siege flies towards another, plunges its beam sabre into it, pulls it out, shoots another, and then flies towards the last one.
"Last one!" Sho shouted as he fires his vulcan machinecannons at the final dummy before slicing it into half. Sho pulls the throttles and Siege came to a stop. The dummies behind it explodes into flames.
"Strong isn't he?" Ray said. He and Oliver were also observing at the bridge. "After all, he is a Newtype." Oliver nods. Suddenly, the alarm went off. Ray and Oliver looked at each other and hurried towards the hangar.
"Capt! A huge number of UCF Zaku heading towards us!" one operator reported. After some calculations, he reported again. "About 60 of them!"
"Leave them to me!" Sho said.
"That'll be too much," Asagi said. "Send out Yasha and Aurora."
[Hangar]
"Lieutenant Maxell Ray, Yasha, take off!" Ray reported and Yasha flies out of Serenity.
"Lieutenant Schneider Oliver, Aurora, take off!" Oliver reported and pushes the lever forward, launching the Aurora Zaku. Sho was surprised.
"Looks like its time for Oliver to exercise eh?" Sho joked.
"No time for jokes now," Oliver replied. "Two seniors, please take care of me!" he said in a merry tone. Asagi sat back in her seat and shook her head.
"Young men..." she smiled.
"They are here!" Sho exclaimed. "Let's go!" he shouted and the three MS dashed into battle. "Funnel...GO!" Sho shouted and the funnels detached themselves flies towards the enemy as Siege Gundam fires away with his beam rifle and vulcan machinecannon.
"Call the EU, tell them about this sudden attack from the UCF," Asagi ordered. "Could it be...they want to declare war?"
"DIE!" Ray shouted as he blasts two Zakus into space dust. Yasha bursts upwards in time to avoid a sneak attack, and then turns around and destroys his foe.
Aurora flies towards his enemy at ultra-sonic speed and slices it into half. Then it quickly flies away, and destroys another.
"Aurora...so that is its real ability huh?" Ray thought. "No wonder we need only three mobile suits in our squadron."
Sho sat in his cockpit with his eyes closed. "Behind!" Sho exclaimed as he opens his eyes. Siege turns around and slices the enemy Zaku into half. Then it flies upwards and releases the funnels. The funnels flies towards the enemies behind Siege and blasts away at the enemies, while Siege flies off in the opposite direction and destroys another two Zakus.
To the enemy Zakus, the movement of Aurora is just like a fast moving shadow. No one could react to its speed.
"What...what are those two MS?" a Zaku pilot gasped. Before he could react, Aurora was already in front of it! "No...NO!!" he cried. Aurora mercilessly cuts the Zaku into half and flies away. Sho on the other hand, had retrieved all his funnels and engaged himself in close combat. He slices a Zaku into half, turns around and fires a shot before flying away.
"What!? How did he know I am behind!?" the Zaku pilot exclaimed before being blown into space dust.
"You are...a Newtype too?" came a voice into Sho's mind. Sho jumped up in shock.
"Who is it!?" Sho shouted.
"Why are you...a Newtype fighting for the earth humans?" continued the voice. Far away, a red Zaku hid behind a satelite as the pilot communicates through brainwaves with Sho. "You are a Newtype. A Newtype should not be on the side of the earth humans," the pilot said.

"What you are doing...is it right?" he asked. Sho looked around for the source, but couldn't find it. "Is it right?"
"Shut up!" Sho yelled as he plunges his beam sword into the cockpit of an enemy Zaku before firing away at the head with his vulcan machinecannons! Suddenly, an image floated into his mind. Oliver and Ray were shocked when they saw Siege flying out of the battle scene.
"Sho! Where are you going!?" Ray shouted. But Sho did not reply. Siege came to the satelite that he saw in the vision, but there was no one there.
"Who was that...?" Sho gasped. "Show yourself!"
"Sho! What are you doing? Why did you leave the battlefield?" Oliver asked as Aurora flies up beside him.
"Nevermind...let's go back," Sho said and pushed the throttle. Oliver looked around before flying off.
[Back at Serenity]
"How do you explain your actions?" Asagi asked Sho. Sho looked down and did not say anything.
"Captain!" an operator exclaimed. "UCF...UCF has annouced their independence and declared war on EU!"
"What!?" Asagi muttered as she looks up at the screen. It shows the UCF leader, Londe, making his independence speech.
"I hereby declare the Space Colonies independent!" he declared. The audiences roared in happiness. "And also, I hereby declare war on the Earth Union, for refusing to give us sufficient natural resources! This is a war for freedom! Our freedom!" Londe declared in a strong, determined tone. The audiences gave him a standing oviation as they cheered at the same time. "We will give time to the EU to consider about it," Londe said. "If we don't receive a response within 1 week, we will attack all military and government installations of the EU!"
At the Serenity bridge, everyone watched in shock. Only Asagi seem to be calm.
"Captain, you expected this isn't it?" Ray asked when he saw Asagi so calm. Asagi nods. Ray looked back at the screen and gritted his teeth.

Sho layed on his bed, his arms behind his head, wondering about the earlier incident.
"Why are you...a Newtype fighting for the earth humans?"
"You are a Newtype. A Newtype should not be on the side of the earth humans."
"What you are doing...is it right?"
"What you are doing...is it right?" Sho repeated the sentence. "Am I fighting against my own colony now...?"

It was late night, everyone had turned in. A female shadow dashed towards the MS hangar, stopping at different points to make sure there was nobody. Then she ran towards Siege Gundam, shoots a hook towards the cockpit and pressed a button on her waist. The device pulls her up towards the cockpit. She pressed some buttons beside the cockpit and it opens. The girl quickly enters the cockpit and started her job; gathering information on the Gundam.

[United Colonial Federation Armed Forces - Mobile Suit Base One]
Londe walks towards a unique looking MS and looks at the cockpit. The pilot noticed him jumped off the cockpit towards the ground. [They are in space.] Once he reached the floor, he saluted. Londe returns the salute.
"How well are you preparing?" Londe asked with some concern. "Lieutenant Carl?"
"Can't wait to go into battle," Carl said as he cracked his knuckles. "This is a battle for my people's freedom. I won't let them down."
Londe smiled. "Sir, how is Kamilla doing?" Carl asked.
"Very good," Londe replied. "Thanks to her hard work, I'll be getting my very own MS soon," Londe said and looked at the empty slot in the hangar.
"I am sure she misses her Qubeley a lot," Carl smiled and looked at the other MS at the far end. "After all, she is the strongest Newtype in our forces."
"You are right," Londe said.

"Adapting well?" Ray asked. Sho smiled and nods. Both of them were standing at the platform opposite their MS.
"Just cannot imagine we would go to war so soon," Sho said. "Why did you join the military?" Sho asked. Ray was surprised by the question.
"Hm...I think I am able to widen my general knowledge," Ray said. "I'll have chance to see many things a normal person would never see."
"So simple?" Sho asked.
"It is that simple," Ray winked. Sho laughed a bit. "What about you?"
"I joined the military so that I can earn income to support my family back at the colony," Sho said. "But they died in a car accident soon after I joined the military."
"Is life at the colony really that bad?" Ray asked. Sho sighed. "You must be feeling very vexed isn't it? You come from a colony...yet now you will be fighting against it..." Ray said. Sho looked up and saw Oliver doing his daily work at his Aurora Zaku. "Oliver...that guy...you want to know the reason why he joined the military?" Ray asked as he leaned against the railings. "He has the same background as you, I guess. Parents died." Sho looked at him. "While he was young, his parents died in an accident. Well, reports said it is an accident, but in fact, it was a sabotage work by the UCF," Ray said.
"UCF had been plotting against EU all the time?" Sho asked. Ray nods.
"No one suspected anything, as the relationships between the two sides were quite good at that time," Ray said. "Oliver found out the truth and thus joined the military. He hopes to take revenge for his parents."
"He don't look like a sad person to me," Sho said.
"He is covering his sadness," Ray said. "Oliver is actually the quietest person in our squadron. I am the noisiest," Ray said, sticking his tongue out. Sho smiled and leaned against the railing. "Don't worry for the war," Ray said. "The UCF's weapons are far inferior compared to ours. All they have are Zakus."
"Although I joined the military when I was on the colony, the defense forces there did not reveal much about the weapons," Sho said. The alarm went off at this moment. Sho and Ray dashed towards their MS and standby in their cockpit.
[In space]
"What do we have this time?" Asagi asked.
"One unknown MS flying towards us..." the operator reported and pressed a few buttons, bringing the image to the big screen. The MS had a shape of a bat.
"What MS is that?" Asagi muttered. Suddenly, the MS started firing lasers at Serenity. "Launch Anti-Laser decoys, fire bow cannons," Asagi ordered.
"Roger!"
They watched as the unknown MS expertly swerved away from the attacks.
"Launch Aurora and Yasha," Asagi ordered.
[Hangar]
"Lieutenant Maxell Ray, Yasha, taking off!" Ray reported and the thruster pushes Yasha into space.
"Lieutenant Schneider Oliver, Aurora, taking off!" Oliver reported and Aurora exited Serenity.
"What the hell is that!?" Ray exclaimed. "I have never seen such MS before!"
"I don't know," Oliver said. "What I know is it has already attacked us," he said. Just as he finished his sentence, the MS fired lasers at them again. Yasha and Aurora swerved out of the way and fired back. The MS's wings moved forward and blocked the blasts. "What!?" Oliver muttered in shock. They watched as the MS turns around, extending its legs from beneath. The hands came out from within the wings as it moves towards the back, revealing the head at the same time. The MS's eyes flashed in green light, meaning it has completed its transformation and is ready for combat.
"That...look..." Oliver muttered when he noticed the similiarity.
"Gun...dam..." Ray muttered in shock.
"Captain! I thought the Gundam was a secret technology developed by the EU!" Sho exclaimed.
"Looks like our technology was stolen," Asagi replied.
"Who are you! Identify yourself!" Ray demanded.
"Me?" came the reply from the enemy Gundam. "Call me 'Death God'. This is my MS, Death Gundam."
"Death...Gundam..." Oliver muttered. "Darn...!" Oliver cursed and pushed the lever forward. Aurora flies towards Death Gundam as he fires away.
[Scene slowly reveals the pilot's face as Londe!]
"Funnels, Go!" Londe commanded. Eight beam funnels detached themselves from Death Gundam's back and flies towards Aurora. Sho sees it and dashed out of the bridge towards the hangar.
"What the..." Oliver gasped as he finds himself surrounded by the funnels! He quickly steps the accelerator and pulls his lever backwards. Aurora flies out in time as the beam funnels starting firing.
"Wow," said an impressed Londe. "You are lucky, boy."
"Stop talking so much!" Ray yelled as he fires away ferociously. Death Gundam looks up and bursts backwards, avoiding the beams. Then he returns fire as he flies towards it. "Damn!" Ray cursed as he brought his shield forward to block the blasts. Death Gundam pulls its beam sabre out and slashes towards Yasha. Ray brought Yasha up, avoiding the attack and fired at Death Gundam with his vulcans. Death Gundam moves back, left and right to avoid the attack. "You are dead!" Ray sneered as he saw Aurora crept up behind Death Gundam.
"Ha!" Londe sneered as he turns around and blocks Aurora's beam sabre!
"How the..." Ray gasped. Death Gundam started firing at Aurora with its vulcans. Aurora managed to fly away, but still took a few hits.
"ARGH!" Oliver cried out as the impact shook the cockpit violently.
"Oliver!" Sho shouted as Siege Gundam flies in. "Who are you!? Why do you have Gundam!?"
"Why don't you ask the EU, why do they have the Aurora Zaku?" Londe replied.
"What?"
"The Aurora Zaku was actually created by the UCF, but the EU stole it from us!" Londe said. "So we stole your Gundam technology from you, it is fair now isn't it?"
"You...you are the one who was talking to me that time isn't it?" Sho said as Yasha and Aurora came behind him.
"Clever boy, but too bad, I can't play with you anymore this time," Londe said "I've come to fetch one of my subordinates."
"Your man?" Sho asked. At this moment, an escape pod flew out from Serenity, towards Death Gundam. Sho looked at the cockpit of the pod and was shocked to see who it was. "Leila!?" he exclaimed. "Leila! Why are you doing this?" Sho asked.
"This young lady's name is Kamilla Huhges," Londe said. "Leila Hernandez is her fake name."
Leila's pod stops in front of Death Gundam. Death Gundam changes back to its Bat form, and flies off with Leila. "Leila!" Sho yelled. Ray's image appeared on Oliver's communications monitor.
"Oliver, are you ok?" Ray asked, looking at his screen too. Oliver nods.
"Yup, I'm fine," Oliver replied. "Just that my MS got a bit of damage."
"Your name is Asakura Sho," came Londe's voice in Sho's mind.
"Damn you!" Sho cursed.
"We will meet again on the battle field," Londe said. "Very soon."
Sho clenched his fist in anger.

"Welcome home, Kamilla," Carl said when he sees her in the hangar. Kamilla smiles and jumps up towards her MS's cockpit. "Your Qubeley is well taken care of while you are away."
Kamilla turns around and smiled. "Thanks Carl," she thanked. Carl gave a thumbs up, and Kamilla enters her cockpit.
"Its been a while, Qubeley," Kamilla said.

One week later, the EU still did not give in to UCF's demands. They were confident of winning the war, despite many leaders plea to make peace and give in to the UCF's needs.

Many warships were seen leaving the colonies, with countless mobile suits escorting each of them. One of the warship; Hellslinger; is the command ship. Escorting that ship were Kamilla's Qubeley and Carl's Vestige.
"50 warships belonging to the EU are forming up outside the earth's atmosphere," an operator reported.
"Deploy the front scouts," Londe commanded. "Striker ship to fire dummy missiles at the enemy when we are 10000 from them."
"Roger," the operator replied and carried on his work.
"The EU thinks they will win this war," Londe thought. "They'll be shock to see what weapons we actually have."
"Sir, will you be fighting later?" asked his vice-captain, Major Antonio Lopez.
"Yes," Londe replied. "When I am fighting, Hellslinger will be under your charge."
"Yes Sir," Lopez replied.
"Reporting, we are now 15000 away from the EU forces," the operator reported. "No movements from them, striker ship preparing to launch dummy missiles."

At Serenity's bridge, Asagi was giving the final briefing to her three pilots.
"Captain! Spotted missiles flying towards our fleet's direction!" her operator reported.
"Fire bow decoy missiles," Asagi ordered. "Launch starboard missiles at the enemy."
"Roger!"
"Three of you," Asagi said as she turned towards the three pilots. "Good luck."
They saluted and hurried off to the hangar. An image pops up at her monitor at this moment. "Captain Asagi," said the person in the image. "Your ship will be the command ship for this battle."
"Command ship!?" Asagi exclaimed. "But sir, I'm only a captain!"
The person, apparantly someone higher rank then her shook his head. "Your team has proved to all that you are indeed the elite of the fleet. All captains have agreed to let you command this battle."
Asagi gasped. "Good luck," the person said and the image went off.
"Capt! Mobile Suits spotted bearing 150, 8000, heading towards us!" an operator reported.
"Deploy all MS into battle," Asagi ordered. "Striker ships to fire lasers towards the enemy fleet!"
"Roger!"
Almost immediately, hundreds of Zaku warriors exited from their ships and bursts into battle.
"Siege Gundam, Yasha, and Aurora to take off and standby around Serenity," she ordered.
"Lieutenant Asakura Sho, Siege Gundam, take off!" Sho reported and the MS thruster pushes Siege into space.
"Lieutenant Maxell Ray, Yasha, take off!"
"Lieutenant Schneider Oliver, Aurora, take off!"
The UCF's dummy missiles and EU's decoys came together at this moment and exploded into flames.
The UCF defence ships noticed the lasers and quickly launched their laser-decoys.
"Our mobile suits and UCF's mobile suits have engaged in battle!" Asagi's operator reported.
"Striker ships, launch nuclear missiles towards enemy ships," she ordered.
"Roger!"
The EU's Zaku Warriors and the UCF's Zaku Phantoms were busy blasting away at each other. The superior Zaku Phantoms easily took down the Zaku Warriors.
"Damn! Why are the UCF's mobile suits so strong!?" exclaimed a EU pilot. Suddenly, his Zaku shook violently and explodes into flames.
A squadron of Zaku Warriors kept their formation as they flies towards the enemy while firing at them. The Zaku Phantoms expertly swerved out of the way and fires at the Zaku Warriors.
"Argh!" a pilot cried as his mobile suit bursts into flames.
"Damn! Our forces are decreasing!" Ray exclaimed. Without warning, Sho pushes his lever forward and races into battle. "Hey! Sho!"
"I cannot sit there and look at my compatriots go down just like this!" Sho shouted as Siege draws its beam sabre. "RARGH!" Siege slashed the Zaku Phantom in front of it into half, turns around and blasts away with his beam rifles.

"Looks like he has started," Carl smiled.

"Sho! Five Zaku Phantoms at your Three O'clock!" came Ray's voice.
"Funnels, GO!" Sho commanded, and the funnels flies towards the enemy and blasts them into space dust. "Peace spoilers...GO TO HELL!" Sho yelled as he turns Siege around and sends a blast through the cockpit of the Zaku Phantom.
"What you do, is it right?" came Londe's voice.
"SHUT UP!!!!" Sho yelled and shook his head violently. "I don't need you to tell me what to do!" A vision hits Sho, showing him several missiles flying towards his direction. "Those are...nuclear missiles! Serenity's nuclear missiles have been intercepted!" he thought and pushes his lever forward. A few Zaku Phantoms came in front of him as Siege bursts forward. "Don't block my way!" Sho shouted and fires away with his vulcans. The leading Zaku Phantom was repeatedly hit and explodes. Siege brings up its beam rifle and fires away. The remaining Zaku Phantoms evaded the beams and fired back. Sho pulls his lever and Siege Gundam flies upwards to avoid the hits. "Funnels!" Sho thought. The funnels flew towards the Zaku Phantoms and fires their lasers into the mobile suits' heads!
On the other hand, Aurora and Yasha have also charged into battle.
Oliver pressed several buttons on his panel and pushes his lever forward. Aurora bursts forward in ultra-sonic speed, slashing all the Zaku Phantoms in his way, destroying them even before the pilots knew what was happening.
Yasha brings up both its beam rifles and fires away at his enemies. The beams all hits the Zaku Phantom's cockpit.
"That's for messing with a marksman," Ray smirked. His cockpit rocked immediately he finished his sentence. "Argh!" Ray cried and then pulls the lever. Yasha bursts upwards to avoid the blasts from behind, and Ray cleverly turns Yasha around and fires at the Zaku Phantoms, scoring hits on their heads.
"Rargh!" Oliver shouted as Aurora uses its axe to cut his foe into half, before flying away.
Visions hit Sho again and this time he sees three mobile suits, including Death Gundam flying towards them. At this moment, he sees the missiles, and quickly commands his funnels to destroy them.
"Capt!" Sho reported. "Death Gundam and two other mobile suits are heading towards us!"
"Death...Gundam!?" Oliver muttered and turns Aurora around. "This time..." Oliver muttered and pushes his lever forward. A blast came towards him but Oliver managed to evade it. "What?" he muttered as he sees an unknown mobile suit flying towards him.
"I will be your opponent," Carl said.
Yasha swerves left and right expertdly, avoiding the enemies blasts, and then fires at them. Suddenly, his cockpit shook violently!
"Rargh!" Ray yelled, and then looked at his monitor. He quickly turned around and sees a unknown mobile suit flying towards him. "You creep!" Ray cursed and started firing with his beam rifles, only to watch the mobile suit avoid them all. "What the..."
"A normal human will never be able to match the Qubeley," came Kamilla's voice. "Further more, I am a Newtype."
"Qubeley? You are...Leila...no...Kamilla!" Ray said. "You traitor!" Ray cursed and flies towards Qubeley, firing at it at the same time. Kamilla pulls her throttle and reversed Qubeley and then flies over Yasha's head to its back.
"It's fast!" Ray exclaimed and tried to turn back. But before he could do so, his cockpit rocked violently again. "ARGH!" he yelled, and turns around. Yasha blasts furiously away at Qubeley, only to let the latter evade the beams again and again.
"You will not hit me with such shots, Lieutenant," Kamilla touted as she controlled Qubeley. "What!?" she muttered when she saw Yasha flying towards her!
"I can't hit you with rifles...I'll hit you with myself!" Ray shouted.
"Argh!" Kamilla cried as her cockpit shakes. "Are you mad!?" she scolded.
"There is no way I will win a Newtype like you if I continue using conventional tactics," Ray said. "So I'll go with the unconventional!"
"Bastard!" Kamilla cursed and bursts away from Yasha. "Funnels! GO!" Kamilla ordered and 12 funnels detached themselves from Qubeley.
"Funnels!? ****!" Ray cursed and he quickly fires away with his beam rifles and vulcans. "The funnels are too fast!" Ray thought as he watched the funnels fly towards him. "Damn!" he cursed as he brings up his shield to protect himself as he tries to fly out from the circle of funnels. Once out, Yasha moved its shield away and started firing with its beam rifles, only to see the funnels flying towards him again. "Darn!" Ray cursed and attached one beam rifle to Yasha's shield, making that two beam rifles on Yasha's left arm. "I'll see how well you do in close combat!"
Sho on the other hand was lured to a distance away from the battlefield. Facing him was Death Gundam.
"Let me ask you again," Londe said. "Do you want to join us, Newtypes, or continue to fight for the puny earthlings?"
"I will never join you!" Sho shouted.
"Is that so?" Londe said with a disappointed tone. "Then I will destroy you!" Londe shouted and Death Gundam bursts forward.
A vision hits Sho, showing him Death Gundam's next move. He quickly pressed his controls and brings up his beam rifle, and fires at Death Gundam. Death Gundam too fires a shot and both their blasts hits each other. Siege moves to its left and flies towards Death, firing at it at the same time. Londe cleverly evaded the blasts and pulls the beam sabre out when Siege is very near it!
"****!" Sho cursed and quickly brings the shield forward to block Death's sabre attack. Siege pulls out its beam sabre from beneath the shield and slashed towards Death. Londe knew its move and pulls his lever backwards, making Siege miss the attack! "RARGH!" Sho yelled and fired at Death with the vulcans as he flies towards it. Death evades the shots and bursts towards Siege too! Both Gundam's beam sabres clashed as the pilots try to hit each other. "Funnels!" Sho yelled and his funnels flies towards Death.
"Go, Funnels!" Londe shouted and deployed his own. "Ten against five! Your funnels are outnumbered!" Londe sneered.
"Grargh!" Sho growled and pulls his lever in time to move away from Death's funnel beams. Sho managed to destroy three of Death's funnels.
"Not bad," Londe grinned as Death charges and slams its beam sabre towards Siege! Siege swings its beam sabre up in time to block the blow, and then fires at Death with its vulcans from close range!
"Funnels!" Sho shouted and controlled his funnels to surround Death! Death's funnels fires away at Siege's quickly, destroying two of them. "ARGH!" Sho yelled as Siege bursts towards the funnels.
"Not so easy!" Londe taunted and moves his funnels away.
"You can predict the next move, but can you predict the next move after that!" Sho shouted.
"What!?" Londe muttered in shock. Siege bursts upwards, the destroys another two funnels. "You are able to predict your opponents next two moves huh? What a waste..."
Siege bursts forward and slams its beam sabre down, but Death managed to block it. "I am not superman. I can only predict my opponent's next move. As for the 'next move after the next', it requires the usage of brains!"
"A Newtype like you is wasted if you fight for the earthlings!" Londe growled.
"Earthlings...earthlings...Aren't you an earthling yourself!?" Sho shouted.
"I was an earthling," Londe said. "But once I moved into space, I realized how lowly humans are! Selfish, proud, arrogant..." Londe muttered. "All thanks to them, my people on the colonies are suffering. What I am doing is fighting for my people!" Londe shouted and swings the beam sabre towards Siege again. Siege moved back, bursts upwards and blasts away with its vulcans.
"If that is so, why can't there be peace talks to settle the issues!?" Sho said as both Gundam's beam sabres clashed together again.
"That is why I said, earthlings are arrogant! They think they are the highest class of living things! They don't give a damn about other people!" Londe shouted and fires at Siege with his beam rifle. "All they know is to keep the best to themselves and try to destroy others to prevent them from taking what they think is their things away!"
"Humans don't deserve to exist at all!!" shouted Londe.
"Londe..." Sho muttered.
On the other hand, Aurora and Vestige were engaged in a close combat.
"Don't forget, the Aurora's technology belongs to the UCF," Carl sneered. "A normal human won't be able to use the full abilities of it."
"You are talking too much," Oliver said.
"Oh? What about this then?" Carl asked. Oliver realized Vestige had its beam cannons are pointed at him! He quickly reversed the lever, bringing Aurora away from Vestige. "Running away!?" Carl laughed as he fires multiple blasts at Aurora.
"ARGH!" Oliver cried as his cockpit rocked. Aurora has been hit on the left chest armour, however, thanks to the nature of the Zaku's strong armour, that hit didn't do serious damage. "Darn!" Oliver cursed and his fingers ran quickly over the control panels. Aurora bursts towards Vestige at ultra-sonic speed and swings its axe at it. But Carl already predicted the move and moved Vestige away, and then fires at Aurora with its vulcans. Aurora turns around, brings its shield up and Oliver hits the reverse before bursting upwards again. "Gargh!" Oliver yelled as he controlled the Aurora to do a 45 degrees turn towards Vestige.
"It's useless," Carl sneered as he watched Aurora flying towards it. Carl braced himself for the attack. Instead of heading straight at Vestige, Aurora turned, flies over Vestige's head and blasts at it with its beam rifle. Carl pulls his lever and Vestige bursts upwards. Just as he thought he had evaded the attack, his cockpit rocked. Aurora had threw its axe towards it at the same time when it fires at Vestige.
"That's for being careless," Oliver said. Carl gritted his teeth as he turns around and pushes his lever forward.
Qubeley was having a hard time as Yasha kept putting itself next to it.
"Having a hard time in close combat?" Maxell smirked.
"Darn!" Kamilla cursed as she controls her Qubeley, trying to get away from Yasha. Her cockpit rocked as Yasha managed to ram into the Qubeley again. Qubeley brings up its beam sabre and slams it down, only to let Yasha block it with its shield. Kamilla took the chance and Qubeley immediately bursts away from Yasha. "How can I, a Newtype lose to a normal human!?" she said. Sparks kept coming off the damaged parts of Yasha's body due to the repeated crashing into Qubeley, which was in no better condition. Yasha points its beam rifles at Qubeley again and started firing away. Kamilla controlled her funnels and intercepted the beams. Yasha quickly blast away with its vulcans at the funnels, destroying a few of them. "Drats!" Kamilla cursed. Yasha charges forward again, trying to hit Qubeley, but Kamilla moves away in time and blasts Yasha with its vulcans.
Qubeley suddenly turns around and started flying towards the E.U. fleet.
"Captain! One striker ship hit in the bridge!" an operator exclaimed. Before Asagi could respond, another operator shouted.
"Captain! A mobile suit is flying at high speed towards us!"
"What!?" Asagi exclaimed. "Bow cannons!" she ordered, and Serenity started firing at Qubeley with her cannons. But Kamilla managed to avoid the shots and sends a blast towards the starboard wing of the ship! The crew of Serenity cried out as their ship rocked.
"Starboard wing damaged!" an operator reported.
"You bitch!" Ray cursed as he fires at Qubeley from behind. Kamilla pulls her lever and Qubeley bursts upwards, avoiding Yasha's blast. The funnels came flying at Yasha at the same time. Ray pushed his lever and Yasha bursts forward, blasting off two funnels and letting the other few crash into him! "ARGH!" Ray cried. Kamilla was shocked as his suicidal moves.
Meanwhile, the striker ships of the U.C.F. were too hit by the missiles from the E.U. ships. The ship crew cried out helplessly as the flames burns their bodies, while some others were thrown into space!
"You are now left with only two funnels," Ray smirked. Kamilla cursed under her breathe. Yasha started blasting away at it suddenly. But Qubeley was able to avoid it. Suddenly, Qubeley's cockpit rocked again. Yasha had grabbed onto Qubeley! Kamilla pushed and pulled her lever desparately, trying to get out, but in vain.
"You...!" Kamilla cursed.
"I may not be able to defeat you, but now that I've grabbed hold of you," Ray smiled. "You cannot run away," Ray said and his cockpit opened. Ray stepped out, holding a remote control in his hand. Visions hit Sho again, and Sho sees Ray holding on to the self-destruct control.
"NO RAY! STOP IT!!" Sho yelled and turns away from battle.
"Goodbye everyone," Ray said softly and pressed the button.
"Stop...STOP IT!! NO!!!!!!!!!!" Kamilla cried out.
Everyone from Serenity watched as Yasha glowed, and suddenly explode into flames, taking Qubeley along with it!
"RAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" yelled Sho.
"Kamilla...I will make sure your death is justified!" Londe muttered and blasted Siege in the back. Sho holds tight to his controls as his cockpit rocked. Aurora and Vestige watched in shock.
"Ray..." Oliver muttered in sadness, while Carl was speechless. At this moment, he noticed Vestige charging towards it. Oliver quickly fires away with his vulcans as Carl releases his funnels. Aurora pulls out its beam sabre and slices two funnels into halves. Vestige charged in and slams its beam sabres down at Aurora, which blocked it successfully. "Enough! This battle is meaningless!"
"What do you mean by meaningless!?" Carl shouted. "I am fighting for the freedom of my people!"
"This...is humans?" Oliver muttered as Aurora hits a beam sabre off Vestige's hand and points its beam rifle at Vestige's head. "You are too rash," Oliver said in a cold tone and squeezed the trigger, blasting Vestige's head into space dust! Vestige's cockpit immediately blacked out.
"Darn!" Carl cursed as his controls went dead.
"Humans...Die!" Oliver said as he stabs his beam sabre into the cockpit of Vestige!
"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Carl cried helplessly as the laser disintegrated him. Aurora pulls his beam sabre out and slices Vestige into half before backing off to watch Vestige burst into flames. Oliver's eyes were emotionless now. He turns Aurora around and flew away from the battlefield...
Siege and Death Gundam exchanged blows after blows with their beam sabres, with neither side in advantage.
"Carl...!" Londe muttered in shock upon sensing Carl's death.
Both Gundams slams their beam sabre onto each others and held that position, trying to push each other out. Sho pressed his trigger and started firing away with his vulcans. Death Gundam was forced back by the hits and Londe quickly brings his shield up. Siege quickly brings its beam rifle up and blasts away at Death Gundam. Sho pushed his lever forward and rams Siege into Death Gundam.
Both pilots held on as their cockpits rocked. Suddenly, a blast hits Siege Gundam in the shoulder. Sho looks up and sees a Zaku Phantom flying in.
"Colonel Londe!" Rin shouted as she charged in. Siege Gundam flies backwards and fires at her with its vulcans. The inexperienced Rin was hit several times until Londe dashed in the protect her.
"Rin! Why did you come!?" Londe asked.
"I sensed you were in trouble, sir...so I came to help you," Rin replied.
"Rin..." Londe muttered.
Siege pointed its beam rifle at Death Gundam.
"Colonel Londe! We've lost more then half of our fleet!" came the message from Lopez.
"Sho!" came Asagi's image from Sho's screen. "Come back now, the enemy forces are retreating."
"But...!" Sho argued and looks up. Londe and Rin were gone. "Darn! Where did they go!?" he exclaimed. Sho continued searching, but it seems like Londe and Rin had disappeared into thin air.
Back at Serenity
"What!? Oliver went missing?" Sho exclaimed. Asagi nods.
"We tried every means to contact him, but we couldn't get any response," Asagi said. "Someone spotted him flying away from the battlefield."
Sho walks towards the window and looks into the space.
"Ray..." Sho muttered sadly at the loss of his friend.
[T.M. Revolution - Vestige] starts playing
"Let us go back to earth," Asagi said. "The U.C.F. should be quiet for some period of time after this."
Sho continues looking out of the window and he clenched his fist.
"Londe..." Sho muttered.

In the far future, Earth's population had grown to an amount that our planet could not hold. Fortunately, technology allowed people to venture into space to build structures, known as Colonies there.

After the colonies were completed, people started moving into their new space homes.

[Image shows countless people boarding space shuttles to leave earth for the space colonies. Scene switches to the streets of earth that were squeezed with countless people, celebrating the success in the construction and inhabitation of the space colonies]

A new era has thus begun...but...would this new era bring about a better change in mankind? Or will humans still be the same as ever...

SIEGE GUNDAM
[Title fades away and a space shuttle entering the earth's atmosphere came into the screen]
Frontier Calender Year 019
"Earth...it has been sometime since I returned," thought a Japanese young man, 19 years old, with blue colored hair. He took off his sunglasses and looked around him. "There should be someone who is here to fetch me right?" he said to himself.
"Is this Lieutenant Asakura Sho?" came a male's voice behind him. Sho turned around and saw a German young man wearing the Earth Union Defense Force's uniform. "I am Lieutenant Schneider Oliver, you can call me Oliver."
"Oliver," Sho said. "So you are here to fetch me?" he asked.
"Yup, need help with the bags?" Oliver smiled.
"I'm ok," Sho replied. "I was wishing a beautiful lady would be here to receive me," he said in a slightly disappointed tone. Oliver laughed.
"Let's go," Oliver said and ushered Sho to his vehicle.
"How long have you been away?" Oliver asked.
"About...18 years," Sho said. "My family migrated to Colony One, one year after its completion."
"I see..." Oliver said. "I have only been up there once. That was last year. Great place isn't it?"
"Well...you will not think so if you lived there," Sho sighed. Oliver was surprised. By this moment, they had already reached the gates of the base.
[Earth Union Defense Force - Mobile Suit Base]
"What do you pilot?" Sho asked as the both of them were walking towards the command center.
"Zaku," Oliver smiled. Sho nods as they walked towards the lift lobby. The lift came and they entered. Once the lift door closed, Oliver folds his arms. "If I'm not wrong, you are a Newtype. Right?"
Sho looked at him and smiled.
"So what if I am a Newtype?" Sho asked. Oliver was surprised. "I am still a human being after all isn't it?" he smiled. Oliver smiled and nods. A 'ding' sound was emitted from the speaker and the lift door opened. Oliver and Sho came to a door with a label 'Serenity' on it. Oliver knocks on it and waits for a response.
"Come in," came a lady's voice. Oliver pressed the door handle and both of them entered. Oliver saluted on entering. Sho was surprised, but quickly saluted when he saw the lady's rank.
"A female captain?" he thought.
"So you are our new pilot?" the lady asked. "I am Captain Kikyo Asagi, captain of the ship 'Serenity'."
"Serenity?" Sho asked.
"Yup," Oliver said. "It is the ship which we belong too. In the EUDF, there are many different squadrons. Each squadron has its own 'mother ship'. In our case, Serenity. Each ship will be armed with up to eight Mobile Suits."
Asagi returned to her seat. "Take a seat, both of you."
"How many Mobile Suits do we have?" Sho asked.
"Three," Oliver replied with a sharp look.
"Why...do we have only three?" Sho asked. Oliver grinned and looked at Asagi.
"Because we only need three," Asagi said. "Lieutenant Oliver here is the pilot of a special Zaku. Another pilot is out at training now. You will meet him later. Oliver, take him to the ship hangar."
['Serenity' Mobile Suits Hangar]
"I see only two Mobile Suits," Sho said. They were standing on a platform, in front of the actual hangar. A unique looking Zaku stood at the right of the hangar, and a unknown Mobile Suit stood at the left. There was an empty space in the middle. "So you are piloting that?" Sho asked, pointing at the Zaku. Oliver nods.
"That is called the Aurora Zaku," Oliver explained. "Aurora is able to move at Ultra-Sonic speed in battle, thanks to the special booster pack at the back. Its speed allows it to fly towards enemy MS, slay them, and move away before the pilot even knows what is happening."
Sho nods. "The Mobile Suit over there is codenamed 'Yasha'," Oliver said.
"Yasha?" Sho asked.
"I see that you have been introduced to my buddy," someone said. Sho turned around and saw an American young man, 20 years old walking towards him. He held his hand out and said, "Maxell Ray, just call me Ray. Yasha is my buddy," Ray said.
"Looks like you have a good relationship with your MS," Sho smiled. "Name is Sho, Asakura Sho," Sho said as he shakes his hands with Ray.
"Ray is the marksman of our squadron, hence his MS is suited to his abilities," Oliver explained. "Yasha is the Gunner of our team."
"What about me? What do I pilot?" asked a bewildered Sho.
"I have no idea, but what I know is your MS will be something that only Newtypes can pilot," Ray said. Sho looked at them and sighed. Suddenly, the alarm went off.
"What the..." Sho muttered in shock.
"Lets go Sho, this is the activation signal!" Oliver shouted as he ran off towards his MS.
"Go to the bridge, watch us from there," Ray smiled and made a 'thumbs up' sign, and then ran towards his MS.
[Serenity Bridge]
The operators were busy at their own panels when Sho came in. Asagi was already at her captain seat.
"Take a seat Sho," Asagi said. "Serenity, take off!" she ordered. Sho quickly takes his seat and puts on his safety belt.
"Serenity, take off!" one of the operator echoed and pushed the throttle. Just five minutes after the alarm went off, Serenity was already leaving the base.
"What is the situation?" Sho asked.
"We received information on unknown machines nearing the earth atmosphere," Asagi said.
"But I thought such jobs are the duties of the Patrol Squadron!?" Sho exclaimed.
"These few years, the relationship between EU and UCF has been very bad," Asagi said. "There are many times when the UCF has threatened to wage war on us. That's why we cannot let our guard down." Serenity left the earth's atmosphere at this moment.
"Captain!" one operator called out.
"What do we have?" she asked.
"Two unknown Mobile Suits at our bearing 180, 2000 stationary," the operator reported.
"Mobile Suits?" Asagi thought. "Send out Yasha."
[Hangar]
"Lieutenant Maxell Ray, Yasha, taking off!" Ray reported and the MS thruster pushes Yasha out of Serenity. Yasha's thrust boosters ignites, pushing Yasha towards the suspected targets. "Yasha, spotting two objects my bearing 170, 1500 stationary...no they seem to be moving now, towards us," Ray reported.
"Hold any visual?" Asagi asked.
"Negative, currently trying to communicate with them," Ray asked.
"Captain, the MS have picked up speed and are flying towards us now!" one operator exclaimed. Asagi and Sho were shocked.
"Capt! I receive no response from them! Getting ready to battle now," Ray said. Just as he finished his sentence, laser beams were seen shooting towards him! "Darn!" Ray cursed as he swerved his MS out of the way.
"Fire starboard Stinger Missiles and Anti-Laser decoys!!" Asagi commanded.
"Starboard Stinger Missiles and Anti-Laser decoys fire!" the gunner echoed and pressed the firing buttons. Missiles flies out from the starboard tubes of the ship towards the direction where the laser beams came from. The Anti-Laser decoys hits the laser beams and protected the ship.
"Let's go!" Ray shouted and charged into battle. He could see the two MS now. "Two Zakus my bearing 180, 800 moving towards me! Attacking now!" Ray said and fires at the enemies with his beam rifles. The two Zakus evaded the shots and pulled out their beam sabres as they flew towards Yasha. Yasha flies out of the way as a Zaku slashes his sabre down. The other continues firing at Yasha, forcing it to use it's shield to protect itself. Yasha bursts upwards, flies away from the beams and started blasting away at the Zakus, successfully hitting one of them!
"One down!" Ray said in a merry tone and continues to fight the left over Zaku. At the bridge, Sho was watching the battle seriously. As a Newtype, he was able to sense both the Zakus and Yasha's next movements. But he was not able to fully utilise his abilities yet.
Yasha bursts towards its left as the Zaku slams its sabre down. Yasha quickly points his beam rifles at it.
"Game Over," Ray said and blasts it into space dust. "Enemies destroyed, area clear."
"Send out the recovery team," Asagi ordered. "See if we can get any fragments of the Zaku."
"Roger," one operator replied and continued his job. Asagi looked at Sho, who was perspiring.
"Are you ok? Sho?" Asagi asked. Sho looks up and nods. "Relax, after we get back, I will show you your Mobile Suit."
"Mine...?" Sho asked. Asagi smiled. At the hangar, Yasha's cockpit opened and Ray stepped out from it. Oliver was standing on the platform opposite.
"Had a great workout?" Oliver asked.
"Yup. Well, what can I do?" Ray said and shot a look at Oliver. "It always has to be me. You cannot appear just yet isn't it?"
Oliver was surprised by Ray's words. But he smiled. "You are right though."
Back at the base
Sho, Oliver, Ray and Asagi were all at the hangar. A huge trailer drives into the hangar slowly. On its carriage was Sho's new MS. But it was still covered with canvas. Slowly, the technicians and machines brings the MS to its feet and puts it to the empty space between Yasha and Aurora. Soon it was time.
"This new Mobile Suit is a highly confidential MS built by the EU," Asagi said. "It is so special, it can only be piloted by a Newtype," she said and looked at Sho. She turned around and snapped her fingers. The technicians removed the canvas to reveal the new Mobile Suit. Everyone was awed by the look of it. "Introducing, Siege Gundam."
"Gundam..." Sho muttered.

Earth Union Parliament Hall

"As I said many times before, the Earth Union will not grant the colonies independence," a minister said. "All of us belong to the same race, why should we differentiate ourselves?"
"Ever since the completion of the colonies, when have the EU ever shown concern for the colonies?" answered the leader of the United Colonial Federation. The EU ministers looked down and whispered among themselves. "Plus, I think the people of the colonies do not want to be governed by normal humans too."
"What do you mean by that?"
"The people of the colonies are a class above the earth humans," the leader, Colonel Londe Karn replied. "Therefore we think that we should only be governed by ourselves, and not outsiders."
The parliament was enraged by Londe's speech.

Sho was sitting in his cockpit, slowly familiarizing with the controls. A pink colored hair lady came up and stood at the cockpit entrance.
"You are?" Sho asked. The pretty lady saluted.
"Sergeant Leila Hernandez, Sir!" Leila reported. "I'll be your personal assistant from now onwards.
"Well, that's more like it," Sho said with a wide smile.
"Huh?" Leila blinked her eyes.
"Oh! Nothing! Haha!" Sho laughed. Soon, Sho decided that he had enough for the day and turned off the systems. He and Leila stepped onto the elevator beside the Gundam and went back to the ground. They reached the ground and started walking back to the command building. Oliver stepped out from his cockpit and this moment.
"That lady..." Oliver muttered.
"Sir, have you heard of the latest news?" Leila asked.
"What news?" Sho asked.
"The meeting between EU and UCF seemed to end quite badly, with UCF still insisting that they want independance," Leila said. "What do you think of it?"
"Me?" Sho asked. "Hmm...all of us are humans isn't it? Why differenciate ourselves?"
"From what I know, the EU has been doing badly in the relationships between the two sides," Leila said. "Despite saying that the colonies are part of the EU, the EU has always been limiting the resources sent to the colonies. This caused many people to become jobless over there. The colony is supposed to be a new era to mankind...but it seems that life on the colonies are no better then life on earth. Isn't it?"
Sho did not reply, for he knew the life on the colonies much better then most people do.
"Sir?" Leila called again. "You ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Sho replied. Back in his colony home, Sho's parents had died. Despite living in well built homes, they soon found that they could not afford the different bills. Sho joined the military so that he could earn the income to support his family. Soon after he joined the military, his parents died in a car crash. He is the only child in the family. "Indeed...life on the colony is not that good at all..."
Leila was surprised.
"Whatever it is, I just hope that there will be no war," Sho said and looked at Leila. "None of us want war right?" he asked. Leila was surprised by his question, but nods.

[Space Port, Earth]
Londe sat in his seat, with his assistant in front of him. His assistant, Captain Kusanagi Rin noticed that her superior was in deep thoughts.
"A penny for your thoughts?" she asked. Londe looked at her. Rin thought she had did the wrong thing, but Londe smiled. Rin relaxed.
"What do you think of my intentions? Rin?" Londe asked.
"I believe that Colonel Londe's always want the best for his people," Rin replied. "Looking at the high amount of jobless people in the colonies, I believe only under Colonel Londe's leadership will the situation improve. The EU simply does nothing to help!" Rin said, with a bit of anger.
"You really think so?" Londe asked. Rin nods. "I see...I am glad. The EU has always reserved the better options for itself, ignoring the poor on the colonies...the people have placed their hopes on me, and I cannot disappoint them."
"I believe the colonies will one day gain their deserved independence and the situation will surely improve!" Rin said.
"Thank you, Rin," Londe said and smiled. Rin blushed. "What do you think of going to war?"
Rin was shocked. "Sir! You can't be serious!" she exclaimed. Londe looks at her and then looks out of the window. The shuttle had left the earth atmosphere already. Londe and Rin looked at earth. "Pretty isn't it? Our earth..."
Londe looks back and picks his cup up.
"If we really have to go to war," Rin said. Londe looks up in surprise. "I will fully support you, Sir," Rin said with a determined look.
"I understand..." Londe said softly, and then looked back at earth. "I supposed my 'bug' has already started gathering intelligence..." he smiled.

[Outside earth's atmosphere]
Dummy missiles fired off from the port of Serenity towards Siege Gundam. Sho looked on at the missiles and closed his eyes to concentrate.
"Funnels...GO!" Sho shouted. Four funnels detached themselves and flies towards the huge number of dummy missiles. Sho closed his eyes again. "How many are there...how many...50! Destroy them Funnels!" Sho opened his eyes and shouted. The beam funnels started firing away at the dummy missiles, destroying them all.
"Launch the dummy MS," Asagi ordered. 10 dummy MS flew out from Serenity and flies towards Siege Gundam. Sho pulls the throttle and Siege Gundam bursts upwards, away from the dummies. Then he looked back down again and used the Manual Multiple Target Locking System to lock on to five targets. The four beam funnels flies towards the dummies and destroys them. Siege Gundam flies towards one of them and blows it up with his beam rifle. The other five flew out from the debries very quickly towards Siege. The dummies started firing away at Siege Gundam with their beam rifles, but the funnels had returned to Siege Gundam and formed an energy shield! Sho deactivates the funnels and skillfully pilots Siege Gundam around to avoid the simultaneous firing from the dummies. Everyone watched as Siege pulls out its beam sabre and slices a dummy into half, before turning around and blasting the other into space dust with its vulcan machinecannons. Siege flies towards another, plunges its beam sabre into it, pulls it out, shoots another, and then flies towards the last one.
"Last one!" Sho shouted as he fires his vulcan machinecannons at the final dummy before slicing it into half. Sho pulls the throttles and Siege came to a stop. The dummies behind it explodes into flames.
"Strong isn't he?" Ray said. He and Oliver were also observing at the bridge. "After all, he is a Newtype." Oliver nods. Suddenly, the alarm went off. Ray and Oliver looked at each other and hurried towards the hangar.
"Capt! A huge number of UCF Zaku heading towards us!" one operator reported. After some calculations, he reported again. "About 60 of them!"
"Leave them to me!" Sho said.
"That'll be too much," Asagi said. "Send out Yasha and Aurora."
[Hangar]
"Lieutenant Maxell Ray, Yasha, take off!" Ray reported and Yasha flies out of Serenity.
"Lieutenant Schneider Oliver, Aurora, take off!" Oliver reported and pushes the lever forward, launching the Aurora Zaku. Sho was surprised.
"Looks like its time for Oliver to exercise eh?" Sho joked.
"No time for jokes now," Oliver replied. "Two seniors, please take care of me!" he said in a merry tone. Asagi sat back in her seat and shook her head.
"Young men..." she smiled.
"They are here!" Sho exclaimed. "Let's go!" he shouted and the three MS dashed into battle. "Funnel...GO!" Sho shouted and the funnels detached themselves flies towards the enemy as Siege Gundam fires away with his beam rifle and vulcan machinecannon.
"Call the EU, tell them about this sudden attack from the UCF," Asagi ordered. "Could it be...they want to declare war?"
"DIE!" Ray shouted as he blasts two Zakus into space dust. Yasha bursts upwards in time to avoid a sneak attack, and then turns around and destroys his foe.
Aurora flies towards his enemy at ultra-sonic speed and slices it into half. Then it quickly flies away, and destroys another.
"Aurora...so that is its real ability huh?" Ray thought. "No wonder we need only three mobile suits in our squadron."
Sho sat in his cockpit with his eyes closed. "Behind!" Sho exclaimed as he opens his eyes. Siege turns around and slices the enemy Zaku into half. Then it flies upwards and releases the funnels. The funnels flies towards the enemies behind Siege and blasts away at the enemies, while Siege flies off in the opposite direction and destroys another two Zakus.
To the enemy Zakus, the movement of Aurora is just like a fast moving shadow. No one could react to its speed.
"What...what are those two MS?" a Zaku pilot gasped. Before he could react, Aurora was already in front of it! "No...NO!!" he cried. Aurora mercilessly cuts the Zaku into half and flies away. Sho on the other hand, had retrieved all his funnels and engaged himself in close combat. He slices a Zaku into half, turns around and fires a shot before flying away.
"What!? How did he know I am behind!?" the Zaku pilot exclaimed before being blown into space dust.
"You are...a Newtype too?" came a voice into Sho's mind. Sho jumped up in shock.
"Who is it!?" Sho shouted.
"Why are you...a Newtype fighting for the earth humans?" continued the voice. Far away, a red Zaku hid behind a satelite as the pilot communicates through brainwaves with Sho. "You are a Newtype. A Newtype should not be on the side of the earth humans," the pilot said.

"What you are doing...is it right?" he asked. Sho looked around for the source, but couldn't find it. "Is it right?"
"Shut up!" Sho yelled as he plunges his beam sword into the cockpit of an enemy Zaku before firing away at the head with his vulcan machinecannons! Suddenly, an image floated into his mind. Oliver and Ray were shocked when they saw Siege flying out of the battle scene.
"Sho! Where are you going!?" Ray shouted. But Sho did not reply. Siege came to the satelite that he saw in the vision, but there was no one there.
"Who was that...?" Sho gasped. "Show yourself!"
"Sho! What are you doing? Why did you leave the battlefield?" Oliver asked as Aurora flies up beside him.
"Nevermind...let's go back," Sho said and pushed the throttle. Oliver looked around before flying off.
[Back at Serenity]
"How do you explain your actions?" Asagi asked Sho. Sho looked down and did not say anything.
"Captain!" an operator exclaimed. "UCF...UCF has annouced their independence and declared war on EU!"
"What!?" Asagi muttered as she looks up at the screen. It shows the UCF leader, Londe, making his independence speech.
"I hereby declare the Space Colonies independent!" he declared. The audiences roared in happiness. "And also, I hereby declare war on the Earth Union, for refusing to give us sufficient natural resources! This is a war for freedom! Our freedom!" Londe declared in a strong, determined tone. The audiences gave him a standing oviation as they cheered at the same time. "We will give time to the EU to consider about it," Londe said. "If we don't receive a response within 1 week, we will attack all military and government installations of the EU!"
At the Serenity bridge, everyone watched in shock. Only Asagi seem to be calm.
"Captain, you expected this isn't it?" Ray asked when he saw Asagi so calm. Asagi nods. Ray looked back at the screen and gritted his teeth.

Sho layed on his bed, his arms behind his head, wondering about the earlier incident.
"Why are you...a Newtype fighting for the earth humans?"
"You are a Newtype. A Newtype should not be on the side of the earth humans."
"What you are doing...is it right?"
"What you are doing...is it right?" Sho repeated the sentence. "Am I fighting against my own colony now...?"

It was late night, everyone had turned in. A female shadow dashed towards the MS hangar, stopping at different points to make sure there was nobody. Then she ran towards Siege Gundam, shoots a hook towards the cockpit and pressed a button on her waist. The device pulls her up towards the cockpit. She pressed some buttons beside the cockpit and it opens. The girl quickly enters the cockpit and started her job; gathering information on the Gundam.

[United Colonial Federation Armed Forces - Mobile Suit Base One]
Londe walks towards a unique looking MS and looks at the cockpit. The pilot noticed him jumped off the cockpit towards the ground. [They are in space.] Once he reached the floor, he saluted. Londe returns the salute.
"How well are you preparing?" Londe asked with some concern. "Lieutenant Carl?"
"Can't wait to go into battle," Carl said as he cracked his knuckles. "This is a battle for my people's freedom. I won't let them down."
Londe smiled. "Sir, how is Kamilla doing?" Carl asked.
"Very good," Londe replied. "Thanks to her hard work, I'll be getting my very own MS soon," Londe said and looked at the empty slot in the hangar.
"I am sure she misses her Qubeley a lot," Carl smiled and looked at the other MS at the far end. "After all, she is the strongest Newtype in our forces."
"You are right," Londe said.

"Adapting well?" Ray asked. Sho smiled and nods. Both of them were standing at the platform opposite their MS.
"Just cannot imagine we would go to war so soon," Sho said. "Why did you join the military?" Sho asked. Ray was surprised by the question.
"Hm...I think I am able to widen my general knowledge," Ray said. "I'll have chance to see many things a normal person would never see."
"So simple?" Sho asked.
"It is that simple," Ray winked. Sho laughed a bit. "What about you?"
"I joined the military so that I can earn income to support my family back at the colony," Sho said. "But they died in a car accident soon after I joined the military."
"Is life at the colony really that bad?" Ray asked. Sho sighed. "You must be feeling very vexed isn't it? You come from a colony...yet now you will be fighting against it..." Ray said. Sho looked up and saw Oliver doing his daily work at his Aurora Zaku. "Oliver...that guy...you want to know the reason why he joined the military?" Ray asked as he leaned against the railings. "He has the same background as you, I guess. Parents died." Sho looked at him. "While he was young, his parents died in an accident. Well, reports said it is an accident, but in fact, it was a sabotage work by the UCF," Ray said.
"UCF had been plotting against EU all the time?" Sho asked. Ray nods.
"No one suspected anything, as the relationships between the two sides were quite good at that time," Ray said. "Oliver found out the truth and thus joined the military. He hopes to take revenge for his parents."
"He don't look like a sad person to me," Sho said.
"He is covering his sadness," Ray said. "Oliver is actually the quietest person in our squadron. I am the noisiest," Ray said, sticking his tongue out. Sho smiled and leaned against the railing. "Don't worry for the war," Ray said. "The UCF's weapons are far inferior compared to ours. All they have are Zakus."
"Although I joined the military when I was on the colony, the defense forces there did not reveal much about the weapons," Sho said. The alarm went off at this moment. Sho and Ray dashed towards their MS and standby in their cockpit.
[In space]
"What do we have this time?" Asagi asked.
"One unknown MS flying towards us..." the operator reported and pressed a few buttons, bringing the image to the big screen. The MS had a shape of a bat.
"What MS is that?" Asagi muttered. Suddenly, the MS started firing lasers at Serenity. "Launch Anti-Laser decoys, fire bow cannons," Asagi ordered.
"Roger!"
They watched as the unknown MS expertly swerved away from the attacks.
"Launch Aurora and Yasha," Asagi ordered.
[Hangar]
"Lieutenant Maxell Ray, Yasha, taking off!" Ray reported and the thruster pushes Yasha into space.
"Lieutenant Schneider Oliver, Aurora, taking off!" Oliver reported and Aurora exited Serenity.
"What the hell is that!?" Ray exclaimed. "I have never seen such MS before!"
"I don't know," Oliver said. "What I know is it has already attacked us," he said. Just as he finished his sentence, the MS fired lasers at them again. Yasha and Aurora swerved out of the way and fired back. The MS's wings moved forward and blocked the blasts. "What!?" Oliver muttered in shock. They watched as the MS turns around, extending its legs from beneath. The hands came out from within the wings as it moves towards the back, revealing the head at the same time. The MS's eyes flashed in green light, meaning it has completed its transformation and is ready for combat.
"That...look..." Oliver muttered when he noticed the similiarity.
"Gun...dam..." Ray muttered in shock.
"Captain! I thought the Gundam was a secret technology developed by the EU!" Sho exclaimed.
"Looks like our technology was stolen," Asagi replied.
"Who are you! Identify yourself!" Ray demanded.
"Me?" came the reply from the enemy Gundam. "Call me 'Death God'. This is my MS, Death Gundam."
"Death...Gundam..." Oliver muttered. "Darn...!" Oliver cursed and pushed the lever forward. Aurora flies towards Death Gundam as he fires away.
[Scene slowly reveals the pilot's face as Londe!]
"Funnels, Go!" Londe commanded. Eight beam funnels detached themselves from Death Gundam's back and flies towards Aurora. Sho sees it and dashed out of the bridge towards the hangar.
"What the..." Oliver gasped as he finds himself surrounded by the funnels! He quickly steps the accelerator and pulls his lever backwards. Aurora flies out in time as the beam funnels starting firing.
"Wow," said an impressed Londe. "You are lucky, boy."
"Stop talking so much!" Ray yelled as he fires away ferociously. Death Gundam looks up and bursts backwards, avoiding the beams. Then he returns fire as he flies towards it. "Damn!" Ray cursed as he brought his shield forward to block the blasts. Death Gundam pulls its beam sabre out and slashes towards Yasha. Ray brought Yasha up, avoiding the attack and fired at Death Gundam with his vulcans. Death Gundam moves back, left and right to avoid the attack. "You are dead!" Ray sneered as he saw Aurora crept up behind Death Gundam.
"Ha!" Londe sneered as he turns around and blocks Aurora's beam sabre!
"How the..." Ray gasped. Death Gundam started firing at Aurora with its vulcans. Aurora managed to fly away, but still took a few hits.
"ARGH!" Oliver cried out as the impact shook the cockpit violently.
"Oliver!" Sho shouted as Siege Gundam flies in. "Who are you!? Why do you have Gundam!?"
"Why don't you ask the EU, why do they have the Aurora Zaku?" Londe replied.
"What?"
"The Aurora Zaku was actually created by the UCF, but the EU stole it from us!" Londe said. "So we stole your Gundam technology from you, it is fair now isn't it?"
"You...you are the one who was talking to me that time isn't it?" Sho said as Yasha and Aurora came behind him.
"Clever boy, but too bad, I can't play with you anymore this time," Londe said "I've come to fetch one of my subordinates."
"Your man?" Sho asked. At this moment, an escape pod flew out from Serenity, towards Death Gundam. Sho looked at the cockpit of the pod and was shocked to see who it was. "Leila!?" he exclaimed. "Leila! Why are you doing this?" Sho asked.
"This young lady's name is Kamilla Huhges," Londe said. "Leila Hernandez is her fake name."
Leila's pod stops in front of Death Gundam. Death Gundam changes back to its Bat form, and flies off with Leila. "Leila!" Sho yelled. Ray's image appeared on Oliver's communications monitor.
"Oliver, are you ok?" Ray asked, looking at his screen too. Oliver nods.
"Yup, I'm fine," Oliver replied. "Just that my MS got a bit of damage."
"Your name is Asakura Sho," came Londe's voice in Sho's mind.
"Damn you!" Sho cursed.
"We will meet again on the battle field," Londe said. "Very soon."
Sho clenched his fist in anger.

"Welcome home, Kamilla," Carl said when he sees her in the hangar. Kamilla smiles and jumps up towards her MS's cockpit. "Your Qubeley is well taken care of while you are away."
Kamilla turns around and smiled. "Thanks Carl," she thanked. Carl gave a thumbs up, and Kamilla enters her cockpit.
"Its been a while, Qubeley," Kamilla said.

One week later, the EU still did not give in to UCF's demands. They were confident of winning the war, despite many leaders plea to make peace and give in to the UCF's needs.

Many warships were seen leaving the colonies, with countless mobile suits escorting each of them. One of the warship; Hellslinger; is the command ship. Escorting that ship were Kamilla's Qubeley and Carl's Vestige.
"50 warships belonging to the EU are forming up outside the earth's atmosphere," an operator reported.
"Deploy the front scouts," Londe commanded. "Striker ship to fire dummy missiles at the enemy when we are 10000 from them."
"Roger," the operator replied and carried on his work.
"The EU thinks they will win this war," Londe thought. "They'll be shock to see what weapons we actually have."
"Sir, will you be fighting later?" asked his vice-captain, Major Antonio Lopez.
"Yes," Londe replied. "When I am fighting, Hellslinger will be under your charge."
"Yes Sir," Lopez replied.
"Reporting, we are now 15000 away from the EU forces," the operator reported. "No movements from them, striker ship preparing to launch dummy missiles."

At Serenity's bridge, Asagi was giving the final briefing to her three pilots.
"Captain! Spotted missiles flying towards our fleet's direction!" her operator reported.
"Fire bow decoy missiles," Asagi ordered. "Launch starboard missiles at the enemy."
"Roger!"
"Three of you," Asagi said as she turned towards the three pilots. "Good luck."
They saluted and hurried off to the hangar. An image pops up at her monitor at this moment. "Captain Asagi," said the person in the image. "Your ship will be the command ship for this battle."
"Command ship!?" Asagi exclaimed. "But sir, I'm only a captain!"
The person, apparantly someone higher rank then her shook his head. "Your team has proved to all that you are indeed the elite of the fleet. All captains have agreed to let you command this battle."
Asagi gasped. "Good luck," the person said and the image went off.
"Capt! Mobile Suits spotted bearing 150, 8000, heading towards us!" an operator reported.
"Deploy all MS into battle," Asagi ordered. "Striker ships to fire lasers towards the enemy fleet!"
"Roger!"
Almost immediately, hundreds of Zaku warriors exited from their ships and bursts into battle.
"Siege Gundam, Yasha, and Aurora to take off and standby around Serenity," she ordered.
"Lieutenant Asakura Sho, Siege Gundam, take off!" Sho reported and the MS thruster pushes Siege into space.
"Lieutenant Maxell Ray, Yasha, take off!"
"Lieutenant Schneider Oliver, Aurora, take off!"
The UCF's dummy missiles and EU's decoys came together at this moment and exploded into flames.
The UCF defence ships noticed the lasers and quickly launched their laser-decoys.
"Our mobile suits and UCF's mobile suits have engaged in battle!" Asagi's operator reported.
"Striker ships, launch nuclear missiles towards enemy ships," she ordered.
"Roger!"
The EU's Zaku Warriors and the UCF's Zaku Phantoms were busy blasting away at each other. The superior Zaku Phantoms easily took down the Zaku Warriors.
"Damn! Why are the UCF's mobile suits so strong!?" exclaimed a EU pilot. Suddenly, his Zaku shook violently and explodes into flames.
A squadron of Zaku Warriors kept their formation as they flies towards the enemy while firing at them. The Zaku Phantoms expertly swerved out of the way and fires at the Zaku Warriors.
"Argh!" a pilot cried as his mobile suit bursts into flames.
"Damn! Our forces are decreasing!" Ray exclaimed. Without warning, Sho pushes his lever forward and races into battle. "Hey! Sho!"
"I cannot sit there and look at my compatriots go down just like this!" Sho shouted as Siege draws its beam sabre. "RARGH!" Siege slashed the Zaku Phantom in front of it into half, turns around and blasts away with his beam rifles.

"Looks like he has started," Carl smiled.

"Sho! Five Zaku Phantoms at your Three O'clock!" came Ray's voice.
"Funnels, GO!" Sho commanded, and the funnels flies towards the enemy and blasts them into space dust. "Peace spoilers...GO TO HELL!" Sho yelled as he turns Siege around and sends a blast through the cockpit of the Zaku Phantom.
"What you do, is it right?" came Londe's voice.
"SHUT UP!!!!" Sho yelled and shook his head violently. "I don't need you to tell me what to do!" A vision hits Sho, showing him several missiles flying towards his direction. "Those are...nuclear missiles! Serenity's nuclear missiles have been intercepted!" he thought and pushes his lever forward. A few Zaku Phantoms came in front of him as Siege bursts forward. "Don't block my way!" Sho shouted and fires away with his vulcans. The leading Zaku Phantom was repeatedly hit and explodes. Siege brings up its beam rifle and fires away. The remaining Zaku Phantoms evaded the beams and fired back. Sho pulls his lever and Siege Gundam flies upwards to avoid the hits. "Funnels!" Sho thought. The funnels flew towards the Zaku Phantoms and fires their lasers into the mobile suits' heads!
On the other hand, Aurora and Yasha have also charged into battle.
Oliver pressed several buttons on his panel and pushes his lever forward. Aurora bursts forward in ultra-sonic speed, slashing all the Zaku Phantoms in his way, destroying them even before the pilots knew what was happening.
Yasha brings up both its beam rifles and fires away at his enemies. The beams all hits the Zaku Phantom's cockpit.
"That's for messing with a marksman," Ray smirked. His cockpit rocked immediately he finished his sentence. "Argh!" Ray cried and then pulls the lever. Yasha bursts upwards to avoid the blasts from behind, and Ray cleverly turns Yasha around and fires at the Zaku Phantoms, scoring hits on their heads.
"Rargh!" Oliver shouted as Aurora uses its axe to cut his foe into half, before flying away.
Visions hit Sho again and this time he sees three mobile suits, including Death Gundam flying towards them. At this moment, he sees the missiles, and quickly commands his funnels to destroy them.
"Capt!" Sho reported. "Death Gundam and two other mobile suits are heading towards us!"
"Death...Gundam!?" Oliver muttered and turns Aurora around. "This time..." Oliver muttered and pushes his lever forward. A blast came towards him but Oliver managed to evade it. "What?" he muttered as he sees an unknown mobile suit flying towards him.
"I will be your opponent," Carl said.
Yasha swerves left and right expertdly, avoiding the enemies blasts, and then fires at them. Suddenly, his cockpit shook violently!
"Rargh!" Ray yelled, and then looked at his monitor. He quickly turned around and sees a unknown mobile suit flying towards him. "You creep!" Ray cursed and started firing with his beam rifles, only to watch the mobile suit avoid them all. "What the..."
"A normal human will never be able to match the Qubeley," came Kamilla's voice. "Further more, I am a Newtype."
"Qubeley? You are...Leila...no...Kamilla!" Ray said. "You traitor!" Ray cursed and flies towards Qubeley, firing at it at the same time. Kamilla pulls her throttle and reversed Qubeley and then flies over Yasha's head to its back.
"It's fast!" Ray exclaimed and tried to turn back. But before he could do so, his cockpit rocked violently again. "ARGH!" he yelled, and turns around. Yasha blasts furiously away at Qubeley, only to let the latter evade the beams again and again.
"You will not hit me with such shots, Lieutenant," Kamilla touted as she controlled Qubeley. "What!?" she muttered when she saw Yasha flying towards her!
"I can't hit you with rifles...I'll hit you with myself!" Ray shouted.
"Argh!" Kamilla cried as her cockpit shakes. "Are you mad!?" she scolded.
"There is no way I will win a Newtype like you if I continue using conventional tactics," Ray said. "So I'll go with the unconventional!"
"Bastard!" Kamilla cursed and bursts away from Yasha. "Funnels! GO!" Kamilla ordered and 12 funnels detached themselves from Qubeley.
"Funnels!? ****!" Ray cursed and he quickly fires away with his beam rifles and vulcans. "The funnels are too fast!" Ray thought as he watched the funnels fly towards him. "Damn!" he cursed as he brings up his shield to protect himself as he tries to fly out from the circle of funnels. Once out, Yasha moved its shield away and started firing with its beam rifles, only to see the funnels flying towards him again. "Darn!" Ray cursed and attached one beam rifle to Yasha's shield, making that two beam rifles on Yasha's left arm. "I'll see how well you do in close combat!"
Sho on the other hand was lured to a distance away from the battlefield. Facing him was Death Gundam.
"Let me ask you again," Londe said. "Do you want to join us, Newtypes, or continue to fight for the puny earthlings?"
"I will never join you!" Sho shouted.
"Is that so?" Londe said with a disappointed tone. "Then I will destroy you!" Londe shouted and Death Gundam bursts forward.
A vision hits Sho, showing him Death Gundam's next move. He quickly pressed his controls and brings up his beam rifle, and fires at Death Gundam. Death Gundam too fires a shot and both their blasts hits each other. Siege moves to its left and flies towards Death, firing at it at the same time. Londe cleverly evaded the blasts and pulls the beam sabre out when Siege is very near it!
"****!" Sho cursed and quickly brings the shield forward to block Death's sabre attack. Siege pulls out its beam sabre from beneath the shield and slashed towards Death. Londe knew its move and pulls his lever backwards, making Siege miss the attack! "RARGH!" Sho yelled and fired at Death with the vulcans as he flies towards it. Death evades the shots and bursts towards Siege too! Both Gundam's beam sabres clashed as the pilots try to hit each other. "Funnels!" Sho yelled and his funnels flies towards Death.
"Go, Funnels!" Londe shouted and deployed his own. "Ten against five! Your funnels are outnumbered!" Londe sneered.
"Grargh!" Sho growled and pulls his lever in time to move away from Death's funnel beams. Sho managed to destroy three of Death's funnels.
"Not bad," Londe grinned as Death charges and slams its beam sabre towards Siege! Siege swings its beam sabre up in time to block the blow, and then fires at Death with its vulcans from close range!
"Funnels!" Sho shouted and controlled his funnels to surround Death! Death's funnels fires away at Siege's quickly, destroying two of them. "ARGH!" Sho yelled as Siege bursts towards the funnels.
"Not so easy!" Londe taunted and moves his funnels away.
"You can predict the next move, but can you predict the next move after that!" Sho shouted.
"What!?" Londe muttered in shock. Siege bursts upwards, the destroys another two funnels. "You are able to predict your opponents next two moves huh? What a waste..."
Siege bursts forward and slams its beam sabre down, but Death managed to block it. "I am not superman. I can only predict my opponent's next move. As for the 'next move after the next', it requires the usage of brains!"
"A Newtype like you is wasted if you fight for the earthlings!" Londe growled.
"Earthlings...earthlings...Aren't you an earthling yourself!?" Sho shouted.
"I was an earthling," Londe said. "But once I moved into space, I realized how lowly humans are! Selfish, proud, arrogant..." Londe muttered. "All thanks to them, my people on the colonies are suffering. What I am doing is fighting for my people!" Londe shouted and swings the beam sabre towards Siege again. Siege moved back, bursts upwards and blasts away with its vulcans.
"If that is so, why can't there be peace talks to settle the issues!?" Sho said as both Gundam's beam sabres clashed together again.
"That is why I said, earthlings are arrogant! They think they are the highest class of living things! They don't give a damn about other people!" Londe shouted and fires at Siege with his beam rifle. "All they know is to keep the best to themselves and try to destroy others to prevent them from taking what they think is their things away!"
"Humans don't deserve to exist at all!!" shouted Londe.
"Londe..." Sho muttered.
On the other hand, Aurora and Vestige were engaged in a close combat.
"Don't forget, the Aurora's technology belongs to the UCF," Carl sneered. "A normal human won't be able to use the full abilities of it."
"You are talking too much," Oliver said.
"Oh? What about this then?" Carl asked. Oliver realized Vestige had its beam cannons are pointed at him! He quickly reversed the lever, bringing Aurora away from Vestige. "Running away!?" Carl laughed as he fires multiple blasts at Aurora.
"ARGH!" Oliver cried as his cockpit rocked. Aurora has been hit on the left chest armour, however, thanks to the nature of the Zaku's strong armour, that hit didn't do serious damage. "Darn!" Oliver cursed and his fingers ran quickly over the control panels. Aurora bursts towards Vestige at ultra-sonic speed and swings its axe at it. But Carl already predicted the move and moved Vestige away, and then fires at Aurora with its vulcans. Aurora turns around, brings its shield up and Oliver hits the reverse before bursting upwards again. "Gargh!" Oliver yelled as he controlled the Aurora to do a 45 degrees turn towards Vestige.
"It's useless," Carl sneered as he watched Aurora flying towards it. Carl braced himself for the attack. Instead of heading straight at Vestige, Aurora turned, flies over Vestige's head and blasts at it with its beam rifle. Carl pulls his lever and Vestige bursts upwards. Just as he thought he had evaded the attack, his cockpit rocked. Aurora had threw its axe towards it at the same time when it fires at Vestige.
"That's for being careless," Oliver said. Carl gritted his teeth as he turns around and pushes his lever forward.
Qubeley was having a hard time as Yasha kept putting itself next to it.
"Having a hard time in close combat?" Maxell smirked.
"Darn!" Kamilla cursed as she controls her Qubeley, trying to get away from Yasha. Her cockpit rocked as Yasha managed to ram into the Qubeley again. Qubeley brings up its beam sabre and slams it down, only to let Yasha block it with its shield. Kamilla took the chance and Qubeley immediately bursts away from Yasha. "How can I, a Newtype lose to a normal human!?" she said. Sparks kept coming off the damaged parts of Yasha's body due to the repeated crashing into Qubeley, which was in no better condition. Yasha points its beam rifles at Qubeley again and started firing away. Kamilla controlled her funnels and intercepted the beams. Yasha quickly blast away with its vulcans at the funnels, destroying a few of them. "Drats!" Kamilla cursed. Yasha charges forward again, trying to hit Qubeley, but Kamilla moves away in time and blasts Yasha with its vulcans.
Qubeley suddenly turns around and started flying towards the E.U. fleet.
"Captain! One striker ship hit in the bridge!" an operator exclaimed. Before Asagi could respond, another operator shouted.
"Captain! A mobile suit is flying at high speed towards us!"
"What!?" Asagi exclaimed. "Bow cannons!" she ordered, and Serenity started firing at Qubeley with her cannons. But Kamilla managed to avoid the shots and sends a blast towards the starboard wing of the ship! The crew of Serenity cried out as their ship rocked.
"Starboard wing damaged!" an operator reported.
"You bitch!" Ray cursed as he fires at Qubeley from behind. Kamilla pulls her lever and Qubeley bursts upwards, avoiding Yasha's blast. The funnels came flying at Yasha at the same time. Ray pushed his lever and Yasha bursts forward, blasting off two funnels and letting the other few crash into him! "ARGH!" Ray cried. Kamilla was shocked as his suicidal moves.
Meanwhile, the striker ships of the U.C.F. were too hit by the missiles from the E.U. ships. The ship crew cried out helplessly as the flames burns their bodies, while some others were thrown into space!
"You are now left with only two funnels," Ray smirked. Kamilla cursed under her breathe. Yasha started blasting away at it suddenly. But Qubeley was able to avoid it. Suddenly, Qubeley's cockpit rocked again. Yasha had grabbed onto Qubeley! Kamilla pushed and pulled her lever desparately, trying to get out, but in vain.
"You...!" Kamilla cursed.
"I may not be able to defeat you, but now that I've grabbed hold of you," Ray smiled. "You cannot run away," Ray said and his cockpit opened. Ray stepped out, holding a remote control in his hand. Visions hit Sho again, and Sho sees Ray holding on to the self-destruct control.
"NO RAY! STOP IT!!" Sho yelled and turns away from battle.
"Goodbye everyone," Ray said softly and pressed the button.
"Stop...STOP IT!! NO!!!!!!!!!!" Kamilla cried out.
Everyone from Serenity watched as Yasha glowed, and suddenly explode into flames, taking Qubeley along with it!
"RAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" yelled Sho.
"Kamilla...I will make sure your death is justified!" Londe muttered and blasted Siege in the back. Sho holds tight to his controls as his cockpit rocked. Aurora and Vestige watched in shock.
"Ray..." Oliver muttered in sadness, while Carl was speechless. At this moment, he noticed Vestige charging towards it. Oliver quickly fires away with his vulcans as Carl releases his funnels. Aurora pulls out its beam sabre and slices two funnels into halves. Vestige charged in and slams its beam sabres down at Aurora, which blocked it successfully. "Enough! This battle is meaningless!"
"What do you mean by meaningless!?" Carl shouted. "I am fighting for the freedom of my people!"
"This...is humans?" Oliver muttered as Aurora hits a beam sabre off Vestige's hand and points its beam rifle at Vestige's head. "You are too rash," Oliver said in a cold tone and squeezed the trigger, blasting Vestige's head into space dust! Vestige's cockpit immediately blacked out.
"Darn!" Carl cursed as his controls went dead.
"Humans...Die!" Oliver said as he stabs his beam sabre into the cockpit of Vestige!
"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Carl cried helplessly as the laser disintegrated him. Aurora pulls his beam sabre out and slices Vestige into half before backing off to watch Vestige burst into flames. Oliver's eyes were emotionless now. He turns Aurora around and flew away from the battlefield...
Siege and Death Gundam exchanged blows after blows with their beam sabres, with neither side in advantage.
"Carl...!" Londe muttered in shock upon sensing Carl's death.
Both Gundams slams their beam sabre onto each others and held that position, trying to push each other out. Sho pressed his trigger and started firing away with his vulcans. Death Gundam was forced back by the hits and Londe quickly brings his shield up. Siege quickly brings its beam rifle up and blasts away at Death Gundam. Sho pushed his lever forward and rams Siege into Death Gundam.
Both pilots held on as their cockpits rocked. Suddenly, a blast hits Siege Gundam in the shoulder. Sho looks up and sees a Zaku Phantom flying in.
"Colonel Londe!" Rin shouted as she charged in. Siege Gundam flies backwards and fires at her with its vulcans. The inexperienced Rin was hit several times until Londe dashed in the protect her.
"Rin! Why did you come!?" Londe asked.
"I sensed you were in trouble, sir...so I came to help you," Rin replied.
"Rin..." Londe muttered.
Siege pointed its beam rifle at Death Gundam.
"Colonel Londe! We've lost more then half of our fleet!" came the message from Lopez.
"Sho!" came Asagi's image from Sho's screen. "Come back now, the enemy forces are retreating."
"But...!" Sho argued and looks up. Londe and Rin were gone. "Darn! Where did they go!?" he exclaimed. Sho continued searching, but it seems like Londe and Rin had disappeared into thin air.
Back at Serenity
"What!? Oliver went missing?" Sho exclaimed. Asagi nods.
"We tried every means to contact him, but we couldn't get any response," Asagi said. "Someone spotted him flying away from the battlefield."
Sho walks towards the window and looks into the space.
"Ray..." Sho muttered sadly at the loss of his friend.
[T.M. Revolution - Vestige] starts playing
"Let us go back to earth," Asagi said. "The U.C.F. should be quiet for some period of time after this."
Sho continues looking out of the window and he clenched his fist.
"Londe..." Sho muttered.
