Shout! Factory licenses Ryuki and Dekaranger for Physical Media!

Shout!'s probably waiting until SDCC to announce something. I actually hope Build is the next series released just to spite you Shark. Hell, Build is the next series I need to review for the Neo-Heisei era as I've done Drive, Ghost, and Ex-Aid. Need to do Build before I go to Zi-O.

SDCC is pretty dead since covid, inflation is rampant, and it's far more likely Shout will go after Zi-O or Saber next. If they do put out the worst tokusatsu ever made, well, nothing's going to change. I'll keep warning people the dangers of that abomination. I don't value my own life like most of you, been ready to leave these meat shackles since I entered them. And hey, this could be Shout's Get Woke Go Broke moment.

I'm hoping it's Blade because why else would they reveal a show on a day that revolves around hearts and love and Blade features a rider with a heart theme and the love story of Kanzaki and Tachibana?

On the other hand, the TWO week line along with Mystery is on the Wind does relate to W.

Either way, it better be announced with a BD release.

PLOT TWIST: Random Canadian site leaked a pre-order for a Geats set coming in March & Rangerboard thinks it's legit, because the same site accidentally leaked the Zero-One release, too. Says it's Universal, not Shout, but I guess Universal owns Shout, or something?

Good god, I hope not. Geats is the one of the last series I want to see get released when actual good series need them first.

The main theory is they are doing what they did, last time. They got two different series' at once. One will come out of bluray immediately, the other will be on streaming for a while, before getting a release.

My big question is why they waited so long for another one? Were they having that much of an issue with navigating rights? Were they waiting to see how the Black sets sold before deciding if giving Ichigo a bluray release would be worth it? I almost thought the state of the economy & the streaming wars spooked Shout so much, they gave up on Rider, but thankfully that doesn't seem to be the case.

It might be worse than that. From what I was told by a Toku retailer, the current head of Bandai's US division apparently hates Toei and disbanded Team Kamen Rider. Doing that, made a significant impact on the amount of KR merch making its way to the US, so retailers now have to go back through importation through third parties to get many of the products for their stores. As such, my guess is now Shout! lost their ease of contacts for Kamen Rider and had to find a new channel for negotiations.

It seems like Shout! just can't catch a break. They have to go through Hasbro to talk to Toei when licensing a Sentai series, and now this.

^Add to all that if anyone else has been following Clownfish TV and Worldclass Bullshitters like I have you'd know Hasbro has been doing horrendously in toy sales in the last few years so bad they laid off one fifth of their work force. There's definitely an affective anti-woke boycott going on in the American toy market toward anything that isn't Jurassic World, Ninja Turtles, or Alien vs. Predator. Even my area which is pretty left leaning and diverse has stockpiles of unsold merch. Now add onto the fact Best Buy won't be selling physical media (guess I should have bought a blu-ray player, but **** that, still too expensive and streaming sites are easier anyway). Point is Hasbro is bleeding money and it's unlikely toku will give them much return on investment.

It was just Geats. Comes out in April.

EDIT: I do have something exclusive- on the official ad that uploaded on YouTube, someone commented that people should take a close look at what's written on the posters they get if they preorder from the Shout website. Not sure what they mean by that.
