Shaye vs Jackson

Robert Shaye is the founder of New Line Cinema. He's basically said that there will be a Hobbit movie in 2009, but that Peter Jackson will not be involved. MGM could have a final say since they distribute New Line movies and Shaye's contract is up in 2008. But if Jackson's lawsuit with New Line doesn't get settled, I'm guessing that the Hobbit will go forward without him.

I'm really kinda upset that PJ might not end up directing "The Hobbit". It just wouldn't feel right if PJ didn't direct! He did such an...amazing job with the trilogy. God I miss looking forward to a new one each year. :bawling:
