[ASIAN-ENT] Shaw Bros. vs. Golden Harvest/Independent

Well, to be honest, I never really care about Shaw Bros. It doesn't interest me at all.

:O_O: How could it not?! Unless you're just not a big fan of classic Kung Fu cinema. Because Shaw Bros. put out some of the best ones, with usually the highest production values and really good plots. That's why it surprises me that you say that.

Their films are easier to find these days too. More and more Americans have had chances too see them, becuse of companies like DD and Image Ent. who are making it able to find dozens, at places like FYE.

IDK, to me they seem like to different eras with two different styles. Its sort of hard to compare the two. but, I guess if we're just goin on personal preference, for now Id go with Golden Harvest. Most of the things tried by Jackie, Yuen Woo Ping, Sammo Hung, etc., ware some of my favorite films. Until I see more Shaw Bros. material, I cant really make a fair judgement.

Another movie that I bought a while ago and still love watching is Knockabout. Man, that movie was great with the action and comedy that it portrayed. Yuen Biao really stood out to me as a capable lead actor for me in this film, more than in Prodigal Son.

IDK, I thought Prodigal son was cool, but It just didnt click with me. As soon as I saw a seen from Knockabout, I knew i had to get it. IDK, that movie just gels with me more for some reason.
