Service Temporarily Unavailable

Is anyone else getting long load times from this site? Ever since that server switch or whatever keith was doing to this board, I've been getting this problem. I'm not sure if it's my computer but it seems this problem only occurs on this site. I'm getting very long load times and when it's not loaded at all, this shows up!

"Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

here's another one. I was trying to post a comment and this showed up. Honestly this is getting ridiculous, unless this is fixed I'm out...

"Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Did any of you even click the above link?

If you do you can find the following information:

Panel Downtime
Posted (April 4th, 2009 at 7:28 pm PST) by micah

Our central database went down about half an hour ago causing the panel to be inaccessible for a short while.

The database is back up now and I’ve restarted the panel webservers. Everything should be back to normal but if you’re still experiencing issues pleast contact technical support.

Network issues
Posted (April 3rd, 2009 at 5:49 pm PST) by Terri

We are currently experiencing networking issues. This is affecting some machines, as well as mysql services and oneclick installs. We are troubleshooting the issue and will fix it as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Update: Thankfully the network issue was resolved in a short period of time. There was a misconfiguration in our core router, and our network administrators patched it up.

Backup Redux!
Posted (April 1st, 2009 at 3:02 pm PST) by micah

While we’re still in the process of restoring everything and getting the data moved off of the suspect RAID arrays, we think we might have recovered almost all of the backup data we previously thought that we would not be able to recover as seen here:

http://www.dreamhoststatus.com/2009/03/07/backup-server-problems/

We are in the process of copying the data off of the degraded array so we may be unable to recover some files, but getting the array back online gives us the hope to recover a large amount of the data. We will not be copying the data over any backups you have restored. We will be providing instructions on how to get your previous data via email. Thanks go to our hard working NOC employee Sandon for sticking with this issue and getting us to a point where we can recover this data.

We sincerely apologize for the problems this backup service crash caused you. Our current ETA for the restore is still going to take about a week or two since this is several TB of data.

Had been receiving that prior to last night and most of today, but really paid no attention to it. Well, at least we know what is happening.

What I"m guessing is that DreamHost may have not be used to a site as big as us. They advertise they can handle us, so we landed and they're working around the clock to accommodate us. This has happened a few times before. The status site says that it'd be another week.

Godaddy went through this a while ago, but were eventually able to get on track. I'm digging the DreamHost since it's all so powerfully easy to see what's going on.

Just hit refresh. Things will be fine and both the server folk and HJU are working 'round the clock.

I can barely navigate the site at all. I'm surprised I got through on this thread. Every time I try to go to a thread I get the "503" and THEN the "Service Temporarily Unavailable". I'm getting shut out and then shut out again. Very annoying.:shakefist
