Actually Raven being deaged to that of a teenager was the result of the first 12 issues of Johns run on Titans. Marv Wolfman and his Raven miniseries was just following whatever marching orders Johns was laying out for the character before his abrupt departure from the book.

I know, I never said Marv was behind that, but he wanted to write a Raven mini-series, so the OYL story was designed to place Raven on her own, when the original idea was to have her and Garfield lead the Titans. It's well known that OYL set up a lot of things that D.C eventually backed out of (in the case of Wonder Woman, Catwoman and Titans, this was almost immediatly)
