SciFi Shows: The First Wave, Dead Zone, Sliders

Pretty much the main character Quinn discovers (invents) a device that looks like a remote control that can open wormholes to other dimentions. In the pilot he accidently takes 3 other people w/ him (can't remember how, it's been a LOOOOOONG time since I've seen it) and the show is then about them trying to get back to the Earth that they all know.

He originally plans to take 2 other people, but accidentally ends up taking a third person with him. Professor Maximilian Arturo, Quinn's Physics professor, Wade Wells, Quinn's best friend, and has-been singer Rembrant Brown, who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The remote originally was suppose to return you to the world you came from when the timer finishes counting down, but something happens to screw that up, so they end up "Sliding" through worlds trying to get back.

that's right, the remote recives a short or something where it just randomly sends them places.

Good show and a good concept, I think the writers just started running out of ideas after the first few seasons.

i REALLY liked sliders, then it just got boring.

i never saw the season finale, and you KNOW its bad when you only watch the show because of a hot chick.

Tembe Locke was FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINEEEE w000t!

three memories stand out in my mind when I think of sliders.

1. one of the season finals when quinn got shot.

2. Arturo's dying word "Sliiiiidersssss"

3. I remember them mentioning that the girl from the first few seasons was being held captive in a cro-mag camp, being used in cross breading experiments.
