Sazer-X ends in June!

They did one other in 1976-77, Bankid. I thought they did Mikazuki too though. Either way that's a small number of TV shows compared to the other studios...

I've never heard of Bankid. I thought Mikazuki was straight to video and actually haven't seen it so I'm not sure who made it. But yeah, Toho for being around that long hasn't made a lot series.

Never heard of it? I think Jeff posted a clip on JH. Ugly costumes but a catchy theme song. I get it stuck in my head sometimes :anime:

Oh, yeah forgot to comment on the tread topic. It sucks both that Sazer X is ending early and that there won't be another Sei Shin show. I've been enjoying Sazer X very much, and I loved Justiriser. I'm even downloading Gransazer now. The only bright side, if there is one, would be paying less money when I eventually go to buy Sazer X on DVD.

Hmm, I would have gotten the Sazer X toys if HLJ had carried them. I don't care too much for the mecha, but I'd like to get the vinyl figures. Wouldn't mind having a Knuckle cross either.

I hope Toho will try doing another hero show, even if it isn't a Cho Sei Shin.

No they didn't. Mikazuki was created by Keita Amemiya (Garo), and was produced by Gaga/Crowd.

That's too bad, TOHO had a really good franchise on their hands. They were bringing back the heart of tokusatsu, in TOEI's new age of tokudrama & CGIsatsu. At least they tried, and my list of favorite series will always have entries of the franchise.

Ah, I knew it was an Amemiya work but wasn't sure who produced it. Thanks.

...Even if the Cho Sei Shin Series is ending I hope Toho doesn't take too long a break from the Hero shows, especially not as long as some of their previous off periods. They've done some great work and produced great series.
