SAW 3 Talkback thread

I was talking about that to my friends after we saw the movie bout how a Saw 4 won't exist(with the recurring cast) but instead, a Saw - Origins movie of why Jigsaw exists for real. What caused him to be as such. It will prolly have the scene of Amanda being caught, as it's ending.

Audrey and I saw it on Friday! Wow, one of the few instances when a horror series gets better. We thought it was much better than the first two which we liked a lot. Awesome horror trilogy.

From what I understand, if they go to a fourth one, the original director/writers will not return. They say they're done with the franchise for now and are perfectly willing to hand it off to someone else.

So it's a movie about an unstable middle-aged guy being told he has a terminal illness?

no thats the backstory in the second one. i take it you never watched em yet

Reread closely: John became the "Jigsaw Killer" because of the way humanity takes life for granted. He came to this realization after being imbittered by being told he only had a certain amount of time to live. That's why he became the killer; we already know, and thus, making a film about that would be both boring and unnecessarily repetitive.

I just got back from seeing it, wow...that was a good way to wrap the story up. I really think there's no need for a prequel when we have a prequel in comic form. The backstory in 3 was pretty good, I thought it was kinda weird how John was capturing all these people, and now we know.
I'd actually see it again, and will once again pick the DVD up the day it comes out. Kickass movie.

Saw III rocked hard. Excellent Trilogy. I hope a DVD Boxset is released sometime soon.

Anyone else think Shawnee Smith/Amanda is sexy?. I had a thing for her back when she was on the show Becker.

Official DVD release date for this flick is January 23rd. Thats pretty fast. I think a box set would be cool, but it would annoy me cause I already plunked down cash for the first two. Oh well. This flick rocks pretty hard. 34.3 million dollars opening weekend. Which is weird cause sequels, particularly horror sequels, almost always make LESS than the previous entry. But with SAW, the opposite is happening. :buttrock:

thats wrong cause one of the sites list February 20
