Sakamoto/Fukuzawa's Kyouryu Fight Scenes

He also isn't afraid to show the rangers falling in painful ways. The shots of them falling into patio furniture really helps sell the pain.

I love that too. He almost makes the suit actors look like they're made of rubber, heh.

And yeah, he defintely puts more impact behind the blows than the average director.

As long as the heroes are in suit when doing all these wire-fu stunts then I'm good. I don't want then unmorphed and flying around like Iron Man.

A couple of the actors in the various Power Rangers seasons have mentioned that Koichi sort of has this demeanor that makes them really want to push themselves and do things they didn't think they were capable of doing. (one even mentioned Koichi asking him to do a few handstands and flips to show the cast of the then upcoming season, which he did, commenting "Koichi's like Yoda, if he asks you to do something crazy like jumping seven feet off the ground during an explosion, you'll do it" or something to that nature) He sounds like one of those directors that can get his casts to push themselves to the limit and beyond by testing them a lot.

The Knight of Anger fight was great. I liked how it looked painful. I want to see my heroes struggle for their victory, and that sequence did a great job. It's one of my biggest praises for Wizard and Shinkenger, when the heroes honestly showed pain and struggle when the central villains fought them. Kyouryuger expressed a lot in that short sequence.
