The comedy isn't exactly out of place, either, Saint Seiya has always had comedic moments.

I'm still not sure if this film will be any good, just because it's a lot of material to stuff into one film, and that rarely ends well, but I've literally not seen a single trailer or screenshot of it that hasn't been absurdly gorgeous yet, so it'll be a spectacle, at least.

It grossed only ¥82,024,908 in its first week. So, this looks like another failed movie revival attempt from Toei. They really aren't having any success with these attempts. Not only their toku, but also their CG movie revivals (Harlock and now this) seem to all be failures.
