[Anime] Saint Seiya 2014 (CGI Movie)

Man, really loving the direction they're headed. Re-watched the trailer, and really loving the final armoured figure walking down in a God-like manner. Really the type of image I wanted to use for my story, and they captured it pretty beautifully.

The CG version of the saints somewhat look like those characters you see in Dynasty Warrior games LOL~ Seiya and the rest, their cloths look more like Riders's upgraded version - Ikki looks like N-Daguva Zeba from Kuuga... Shiryu's looks like Kuuga in his Ultimate Form... Athena looks like 'Athena' from KOF and Shun looks like a character from Prince of Tennis.. but definitely more masculine looking. This does look a lot better than Omega though.... Just hope the movie won't be a rush and it will be good too.

Still hoping that one day we might get to see a anime version of The Next Dimension....

It was nice hearing the Saint Seiya opening again, but the visuals seem too dark for Saint Seiya. I know it's probably to save money with the CGI, but the Gold Cloths lack the brilliance and majesty they had in the anime.

Also for some reason I don't feel the coldness from Hyoga or Shiryuu's stoicism. Could be different in action, of course. Ikki's and (especially) Shun's changes I like, though Shun could do with a (again) a little brighter colors. Ikki is particularly perfect because it's the Phoenix without all the fiery brilliance, just like it was in the series.

More like Xing Ke looks like him...

Typical Chinese stoic warrior types. I love them though. In any case, he seems a lot more mature than the original interpretations where I kinda saw him as the guy who could die any moment he loses a drop of blood lol

I guess he looks more confident and collected, so it's a good thing.

Just look at him in this week's episode...

I haven't watched Omega since Season 1 ended, and woah... It doesn't look like much has changed. But I thought Genbu was Libra? What, he dead already? So fast...

Lots of things changed. The plot isn't a rehash of the 12 houses anymore, there's a heavy focus on the Saints from the previous series, the Cloths don't look like **** anymore (well...the designs still aren't great, but they're a step forward! The new Libra is fucking awesome though), the enemy is totally different from Mars...

Honestly you should just watch it, Omega season 2 is great and a step forward from the first in many ways (a step backwards in characterization though, sadly).

And yeah, Genbu died, but he will always be remembered as the coolest Gold Saint Omega introduced. RIP Gold Saint of Balance and Harmony, Libra Genbu.

I disagree...

Season 2 has been about 80% pandering and lots of retcons.
