S.H.Figuarts - News and Reviews

So is Gaim not ripe enough until May?

Seriously, who the hell waits until their show is beyond halfway done to release toys to it?

They better pray to the gods the show does not turn into total crap by episode 20 because even though I am enjoying it, the amount of riders is really starting to get on my nerves as it feels like they are trying to cram as many characters into the show as possible with little character development.

OMG, Gaim is a Michael Bay production!!

No wait... the show has yet to even have an attractive female character, so no boobs means it isn't Bay.

Collectors have longer attention spans than the kids. This is the same toyline that releases figures of characters that are 40 years old at this point.

No need to rush out the Figuarts just because the show is on the air. Heck, they could come out after the series has ended for all I care as long as it meant that the finished product was of high-quality.

W and OOO came out around March in 2010 and 2011, they turn out fine. I find it odd that they are coming out in May instead.

Dude, you need to relax a little. As people have said before the last time you brought this up…toy development not to mention production take time. Bandai's focus is always going to be on the kiddies, that's why stuff like the AC figures and soft vinyls get pushed ahead of the Figuarts. There really is no reason to get upset over this we know they're coming sooooo...what differences does it really make if they come out after the show ends as long as we get them in the end?

Annnnnnd…I'm really not seeing what Michael bay has to do with a discussion about toys so I'm going to have to kindly ask that people drop that point of discussion and carry on with the topic.

Anyways, bringing this back on topic the metallic blue on Gaim looks gorgeous. I've been enjoying the hell out of the show, so bring on the fruit flavoured riders!

No they didn't

W's head was not right

-Soft hands, sloppy paint/QC and most significantly - terrible ankle joints

Even a reviewer noted it

From what I gather these figures were rushed out to coincide with the beginning of the show, rather than the 5-6 month wait that happens with most Sentai/Rider figures now.

To put it simply, the figure feels cheap. Really cheap.

I honestly think the W figure is fine, I really don't see the issue that other people see in it…outside of the fragile-feeling balljoint connector for the scarf and the black elbow joint.

I'll agree that OOO feels cheap though especially compared to W before him and Fourze after him.
