[J-DRAMA] Ryomaden (The Most Epic Series on Television)

This without a doubt is the greatest series I have ever seen and probably will ever see. Fukuyama Masahiro, though a bit older than his character is the perfect role for the perfect script. Every week, this series amazes me. Who else here watches it? I know at least one of you does. :thumbs:

The music is epic too. I listened to two soundtracks and they're amazing. The series itself is so good. It's strange because I feel like I've seen the best episode, but the next one I think is the best. It happens all the time. Every episode stands alone great as well. It's just amazing. It has the best script I have ever seen, it has a great cast, it has nice settings (by settings I mean the atmosphere as well), and an incredible soundtrack that uses the most epic sound clips. What can I say? The whole series is a 10/10. I wish I could buy it, but it costs over $200 for each season and there are three seasons. I need to get some more money. :shakefist

It's a pretty good show, one of the better Taiga dramas in years and it definitely helps that Fukuyama is just one of the most boss actors that Japan has to offer. Of course knowing how it all ends is kinda depressing, but it's more about the journey. Shall be sad to see it go, but after Saka no Ue no Kumo's second run, Gou seems like it'll be interesting. Is it me or does it seem like the Taiga dramas have been covering a lot of female leads in recent years? (but it'll be amusing to follow Seto Koji as Ranmaru)

Ryomaden is the only taiga I've seen, so I wouldn't know. It seems that Seto just follows wherever Takeru went first.

My favorite character is Sakamoto Ryoma. Iwasaki Yataro is an awesome character as well. There's also Chiba Sana and her family, and Saigo. I like Saigo's laugh. It's like a real HA HA HA!

Hey, Izo was one of the main characters for a few of the episodes.

Fukuyama is the man. His acting is amazing. This series is worthy of all kinds of awesome awards.

Yeah, knowing what happens at the end, like the monster at the end of the book doesn't help, but the journey is just great. The journey itself is what keeps amazing me. Sakamoto Ryoma does some amazing things and the script is top quality.

I'm working on it! I wanted to watch Shirotan in Tenchijin but it started off pretty slow. Maybe I'll give it another try.

I did watch Mattsugu, but that's not a taiga per se, just a jidaigeki show.
