I really liked the anime, and the OVAs, but I've never read the manga, so I couldn't comment on how much it stuck to them. It's an entertaining series, though.

Finally checked out the anime on youtube. Pretty good, but I hate Kenshin's voice. It wasn't what I had imagined hearing in my head while I was reading the manga.

For the Amakakeru no Hirameki, the manga said that the key step of the move lies in the left foot. Does anyone know real Battoujutsu, and thus is able to comment on whether taking a step with the left foot would increase the strength of the blow?
