Hello. Everyone is talking about school. I start next week. I'm a freshman again. I got start from the bottom. Good Luck to everyone who is starting school.

Freshman again? College freshman, ne?

That is kinda weird not having your class schedule the first day. Back in high school, they usually posted our homerooms on the board then we got our schedules from our homeroom teacher and never saw them again. I think thats how it went, it was soo freakin long ago. :shakefist

Well, I only had one class today, which was studio. We werent assigned studios till the very end cuz we had to sit through presentations on the electives offered this semester. Then, since we are seniors, we had to have a lottery for our studio instructors. Basically we have 3 instructors now instead of 5 since our senior Architecture class has been reduced due to people doing the Paris study abroad program. So, we had to choose our #1 prefered instructor than our 2nd and 3rd choice. And the admins sort of place us accordingly. Luckily I got who I wanted and the project is gonna be interesting. Gonna go to South Georgia (which Ive never been to before) and stay at a hotel or something while we survey the site for a day or two, then come back and work on our project. And there is a real client involved this time so its a pretty big deal. But we are working as one big group to present it to them so its pretty cool.

Im going to my other 2 classes tomorrow since Im onl takin 3 this semester and they are gonna be beastly, all about history, which I dont really like. But Ill survive.

way more than I wanted to write.

Pretty interesting read though, at least it was for me. I find a lot of college stuff pretty cool to read since I still have no real idea how it works. XD

Well, I doubt thats how its run in other majors though. Thats only in the Architecture major. From what I have experienced, Architecture is a much more closed in atmosphere than most other majors. Like, in majors like Computer Science or whatnot, its like everyone is on their own or every man for themselves. Its the same way in architecture, but the fact that we are suffering through the same crap in the same studio room with roughly the same people every year sorta bonds us in a way, i think. Its weird. But yeh, that whole process was just for the studio class. Every other class is just registering and showing up, like every other class.

just woke up from my nape, i was pretty tired,

to answer all ur questions:
Im a junior in high school,
All we did today was stay in our homeroom class basically and just.....welll i cant really remember but it was boring. around 10:30ish juniors and seniors were goin to the carnival, and soph. and fresh. were goin to the gym to see the comedian(I forgot his name but He was FUNNY)
I was bymyself in the carnival(friends I made were Sophmores), should went with them(im just realizing now)
then lunch was at noon, listen to this:
I buy a chicken sandwich and a gatoride, which cost me 4 buckS!(all I had)
and Then I realized that I had a bottle of water in my backpack!! Ahh!!>:(
on a funny note:
my sister(freshmen) was looking for me during lunch, She thought I wouldnt make any friends,
i thought that was nice at first ,
but then if felt like a kick in the balls when she said that,
I believed that she would make friends before lunch,
She didnt for me.
the schedules, you dont know how many people were pissed off at that,
Everybody I met came to school today anxiously waiting to get their schedules. but we have to get them tomrow morning and for some reason our homeroom(where everybody was today) will replace 1st period then we go to the 2nd period on our schedule, so we actually dont get to go to my actual 1st period until wednesday.
Man i typed alot, but that was my day

Edit: look we got a new face symbol!> :eyebrow:

I have 8 credit hours worth of A+ Computer Maintenance class tomorrow! Yay! No, really, I'm excited about it. I talked to the teacher (who I've become pretty good friends with over the past two years), and he's gonna have us doing maintenance on the computers around campus to help give us all hands on experience.

O_O I'm excited about the new semester?! *prepares for a beating*

I'm a business major...which means my school is basically an all-out brawl for everything, careers, internships, and whatnot. It's definitely not a really close-knit group of students...however. I'm in the Business Honors Program so it's like a group of 100-or-so kids I'm with, so I'll be in a really close group of people.

But freshman year for me is going to be like what you're doing right now...I only have one business honors class, and the rest are random liberal arts or fine arts classes I'm taking to get the prerequisites out of the way so I can take hardcore business classes next year.

Oh wow, Ep 17 of KS7 was freakin awesome.
Deshou? It was slightly uneventful, but it was so good.

Liberal arts? That's essentially just the "Hey, take this class if you wanna get federal assistance and easy credits" class, right? Had no idea that business had liberal/fine arts as prerequisites. God, I need to a learn a lot about college. XD;

Its still pretty cut-throat here, but its just that we know everyone who's throats we are trying to cut. >:D

And after this semester, I only have 7 credit hours left before I graduate. Since I did 2 years at Georgia State before, I took care of all my core classes and social/humanites credits. So here at Tech, I only need the required Arch classes and electives. So, though I have been struggling, it aint half as bad as folks who had to take physics and calculus along with Studio.

I think everyone has some sort of liberal arts or fine arts prerequisite. And I say prerequisite as in "required class so you can move on with your life," it's not a class that's needed for another. I should've worded that better. But yeah, I don't have to take any English, history, or Calculus because of AP...wooooot. That saved my butt. So the things I have to get out of the way are sociology, music and certain seminars, and then I move on to bigger and better things.

Liberal arts is basically general studies. So yeah. They even have their own honors section, which is basically for the select few students who are at the top of taking classes that mean nothing.

EDIT: So Yas...your time spent at State had some good in it too. XD Oh lord, if I had to take physics and Calculus along with my major-related classes... :O
