EDIT: oh, and friends relationship are a big no-no. Avoid them like the plague, 75% of the times they bring complications. The better type of relationship is the one with "unknown" people.

I don't see why relationships with friends are bad. If you can be mature about it the whole way through, and especially afterward, then it's fine.

Because sometimes you do end up liking your friends that way. Why avoid them like the plague if you truly do feel that way? There's nothing wrong with going out with a friend of the opposite sex, because people change and people suddenly realize things...and there's no way to control that. I guess they do come with some complications (which can't always be avoided) but it's a better alternative than lying to yourself, in my opinion.

And "unknown" people...that's just a scary thought. Are you talking about engaging in relationships with strangers that you randomly meet? That's the type of relationship that brings you trouble or gets you killed. :O

If people can be mature about it.. In my cases, the girl couldn't be mature about it. XD.
It can bring fun memories, or maybe something good if you stay together, just depends on what type of person they are.

I'd rather date someone that I'm not good friends with now though. =/

I know what you mean. To us guys...and well, I guess I'll clarify what I said. I'm not encouraging that guys have relationships with really good girl friends; things just happen, and if they do, you shouldn't avoid it. But with that aside, I do think guys draw a line between girl friends and girlfriends, and try to keep that line intact.

Am I wrong? Because with one exception all my relationships have been with people I'd just met that year. It usually followed the pattern of meeting them, like a semester of random hanging out, and then a semester and summer of going out, and then breaking up. That was high school for me. XD
 

But we werent talkin of serious relationships, right? Or at least, that's what I was talkin of. In my experience I've found that friendship and relationships dont go well together. If the story ends -like all things, it will end- you lose both, the relation and the friend.
And "mature" usually is not something that's contemplated when feelings are involved
Oh, and with "unknown" of course I wasnt meaning a person you just found -I've had various stories like that, but is not the most intelligent thing one can do- anyway, I meant a girl that's not in your company of friends. A person that you know but not so good like a friend can be; have you understod what I mean?

If it's a serious relationship, it's another matter of course -though I believe it's always better to avoid, but that's just my idea.

EDIT: your last post, that's what I meant, more or less.
 

I don't think you're wrong with that. I pretty much agree. Especially with the bolded part. XD.
