I honestly haven't seen enough Black to say... but Kiva's definitely become super interesting lately (to me anyway). Episode 39 was a crazy, it's to the point where I can't wait for new episodes to come out.

...dude, Black was pretty boring for like, the first 30 episodes or so. I sort of link it to Den-O in that the story doesn't get moving until the second half and no one seems to remember that the early part was just Kotaro running around with no life whatsoever but fighting monsters. I do think Kiva is pretty awesome, though, I'd rank it 5th in my favorite hesei shows after Hibiki, Agito, Kuuga, and Ryuki.
