The renumbering/reclassing from GD to GE is actually something Bandai's been doing for a while-- the Soul of Chogokin line has always been GX, but their other Gokin toy lines started out as GA. They run from 01 to 99, then move on to the next letter.
Interesting that they boosted the size for the The First SHs. I'm willing to bet (a nickel) that the remaining Faiz and Kabuto SH figures will be in scale with the old ones, and that new ones will be in the larger scale to go along with these ones.

I'm REALLY tempted to pick up a Rider 2 to go along w/ my helmet. But then I'd need a Rider 1 to go along w/ him...and a Rider Faiz to go w/ my other helmet. I already have the SIC Faiz...and I want to get the SIC Rider 1 & 2 movie version, but right now it's out of my price range

Golden Knight Garo
Garo is a rather unique tokusatsu, as it is marketed to adults and teenagers, rather than young children (which most toku is). The show contains graphic violence, nudity, and mature themes. 3 out 3, HELL YES.
Garo is a Makai Knight who protects humanity against their own inner demons that manifest themselves in the real world, known in the show as "horrors"

*NOTE*: I love the "engrish" they put on the box here under "SOUCHAKU HENSHIN SERIES". It reads, and I quote, " You can attach various figures like weapons, armors, and options!"

I should warn you that the pics for this review are probably my WORST. The reason for this is because Garo has so much shining golden die-cast metal, that it was very difficult to get a decent pic. I'm not a professional photographer.. get off my back :disappoin

Now, Garo is part of the new "GE" era of Souchaku Henshin. I went over this in my last review, so if you're confused, back up, buddy, back....and to the left
Now, as a "GE" era figure, he is slightly larger that the "GD" era figures, and much more durable and articulate as well. However, Garo suffers a downfall that is not present in some of the other Souchaku Henshins (like Rider No 1 and 2 of "The First")
And that is that he has so much armour that it becomes cumbersome and restricts some of his movement Also, if you attempt an "action" pose, some of his armour will occaisionally fall off.
I'll cut you, mang
Another complaint I have is that Garo has a sheath for his sword, but there is no way to attatch the sheath to his belt or something....huh? The whole POINT of a sword sheath is so you can carry a sword without having to hold it in your hand!
Still, I was impressed with Garo, on the whole, but he pales in comparison to the "First" riders. Those were flawless.
Don't do it, Hibiki! He's bigger than you!:bawling:
Price: $40 (roughly, including shipping from Asia
Availability: Easy to find if you don't mind importing
Durability: Armour falls off a bit too easy
Poseability: Very articulate
Is it worth it?:Honestly? Probably not. He's great to look at, but so frustrating to put him in a decent pose. The armour that falls off the most frequently is the arm armour. If you are a real fan of Garo, you probably won't mind it too much. On the bright side, he looks very evil, and has such a design that he looks like a Kamen Rider villain, and could pass for a "Shocker" monster, so you can have him in battle poses with your "First" riders (if you have them...and if you don't....get off your ass! You're gonna wanna get them)
Overall: 7/10 (would be 10/10 if some of his armour wasn't so flimsy

I was super happy when I received my first souchaku henshin. This review will talk about the main personage of "Kamen Rider Kabuto".
ACESSORIES:We go to start this review speaking of that the toy is made up. First, I am very happy that this toy does not need work very to mount it. Kabuto come with it's "Kunai Gun", the 2 armours (Rider and Mask form), 2 bodies (One articulated, that if it moves and the vinyl sufficiently), 2 bases, a strap of plastic to put the "kunai" and later in the belt of kabuto and 2 removable hands (They possess joints in the 2 fingers. A hand of mask and another one of the Rider form; of rider it is in the body articulated and of mask in the vinyl; to take off the hand of the vinyl body was easy but to take off of the articulated one gave work. To obtain to take off it, it makes the following one: It opens the hand and it holds it. Later, with its another hand, follows the arm of kabuto. Now, it twirls the hand, pulling it and holding the arm, that will leave).

Durability: The figure is very resistant. Its points of joint are not hard. To incase the armours, it does not need the lesser effort.
