Review: Trans Armour Kamen Rider Figures

OK, I've looked over some reviews here, and some of you are doing really good, but it's time I show some of you how you do a review and make it ROCK:buttrock:

Here we go, it's been a while

Kamen Rider: The First Rider #1 and #2

What we have here is two lovely Souchaku Henshins from the recent movie Kamen Rider: The First. If you haven't already, see it, it's soo awesome you'll orgasm in your socks, that's right, your socks. Let's begin with the toys

Boxes that contain the figures

First, let's go over what we get (This applies to BOTH riders):

Core Body
Chest Armour
Henshin Belt Device
Two Sets of hands (one set is poseable, the other are outstretched palmsWrist Armour (the gloves)
Ankle Armour (the boots)
Red Scarf
Rider Helmet

Here are our stars
Now, if I had one complaint, it would be the heads (without helmets) seem to be a bit small in proportion to the rest of the body. But the again, we didn't get these for THEIR faces, did we? No, of course not, we got it for these awesome new Kamen Riders. In fact, let's take a look

Rider No.2 Close-up

Just look at those beautiful bastards. It's great because not only have they advanced the design of the riders and made them seem more realistic, but still, they managed to keep it faithful to Ishinomori's original design.

Now let's see them in action!

Rider No.1 and No.2

If anything can be said for Souchaku Henshin line is that it is a constantly evolving line. With each new line, the figures become more durable, and more articulate. And let me tell you, these ones are no exception. You can put them in almost any pose you want. And the extra hands that serve for the "Henshin" pose is a really great feature for display.

Comparison with Rider No.1 and No.2 from the "Classic" line

As you can clearly see, these new Souchaku Henshins that are now labeled as "GE" as opposed to "GD" are slightly taller that the original Souchaku Henshins. This is both a pro and a con. The pro side is that the slightly enlarged figures make for great display pieces, the con side however, is that they are not very compatible with any of the earlier Souchaku Henshins

Price: $55 for both(roughly)
Availability: Easily found on eBay ( I reccomend going with cwk2002)
Durability: Very well made.
Articulation: More poseable than a porn star
Is it Worth it?: HELL YES! They cost a lot less that the S.I.C versions, and they are definitely worth it. Hell, I'm considering buying another set in case something happens to the first two.

These two get a 10/10, Easy

Nice review, the FIRSTy Souchaku-Henshin figs delivered, I think I ended up buying like 3 of each just because I know the ones I have open are going to fall apart from all the poses I put them in.

It'd be cool if they did a set with the four Shocker Kaijin from the movie.

I doubt they'll fall apart on you. These toys are durable and are meant for both posing and to be played with. Buying 3 sets may have been overboard...maybe

And I wish they would too, but somehow I doubt that will happen.

(If they did, the Bat Kaijin should have an accessory of a bouquet of roses)

That was actually a joke... I've collected every Souchaku-Henshin figure yet (aside from the other two Space Sheriffs) and while the older ones get kinda loose in the joints, they're still in one piece.

I did buy ones to keep in the package, just because I could. Wouldn't you? ;) As for the other set, they'll get turned into custom fodder some day. I'll repaint them as "New New" Rider 1 & 2, or something.

Yes, I do often buy "second toys" if the toys are something I really like and I fear may become rare and hard to get if something were to happen.

I intend to review Sharivan and Shaider soon. Maybe that will push you to buy them:169: oh yes...
