I was just curious about what people thought about the Rescue Style toku (Winspector, Tomica Heroes), compared to the normal toku we get everywhere else.

I love them. Winspector was awesome. Solbrain blew me away, I havn't seen exceedraft. GOGOV was ok. Tomica Hero Rescue Force was badass.

Cool. But isn't GoGoFive less"rescue-style" compared to Winspector and Rescue Force?
So what is it about Winspector and Solbrain that you loved? (I like how you said "blew me away.")

GOGOV is just Sentai with a rescue motif put in
Winspector and Solbrain were great because they put a lot of detail on the characters.

Damn right. For a 'True' Rescue type series you go with Winspector/Solbrain/Draft. Nothing else can come even close to the rescue theme.

Takara has some nice ideas, but they can't seem to decide whether to do a real rescue show or a Sentai-esque show. Thus we have Tomica Hero, which does neither thing very well.
The one thing Takara needs to do if they want TH to be an actual rescue show is to get rid of these main villain groups and focus on the team handling everyday local situations that the normal EMTs and police can't handle alone. Until then it'll remain a laughingstock compared to the Super Rescue Trilogy.

I loved the part of the Rescue Force movie where Ryukendo, Ryugunou and Ryujinou all meet up to salute Super Rescue Max.
