Requesting help from Kamen Rider Kiva fans...

Nice post!!
So I've developed an interest in the Kiva character Keisuke Nago (the main 2008 IXA). I set out to search through some Kiva sites to see if I could put together a list of some key Nago episodes to watch, but I've run into a problem.

Different Kiva sites offer startlingly different synopses for the same episodes, some emphasizing 1986 plot and others emphasizing 2008 plot. After comparing a few I decided there was no way I could put together a good Nago episode list from these sources. There was just too much going on in your average Kiva episode.

I know there's some Kiva experts posting on this forum, so give a girl a hand if you've got a moment. What are the best episodes to watch if you're interested primarily in learning about Nago? Recommendations that include episode numbers would be most useful, but at this point I'll take whatever I can get.

hm that is a hard one he is in about every episode... Why not just watch through it all & that way you get the full story ...

I would say the following, though I'm going off of my own summaries here in terms of Nago's big moments, so I'm probably skipping a few. Kiva's one of those shows where it's hard to pick out random episodes because almost all of them had some kind of plot-related thing, but here's my list:

3~4: We properly meet Nago and learn what his deal is.
5~7: Not overwhelmingly important, but they set up Nago/Wataru's opposing viewpoints (especially 7.)
9~12: IXA debuts and comes into conflict with Kiva.
19~20: Mostly Wataru-centric, but 20 has a big moment for Nago near the end.
25~26: Nago has an emotional crisis, sets up things for the next two.
27~28: Nago's excellent adventure!
29~31: Really important twist for both Nago and Wataru.
32~33: Follow-up to the above twist.
34~41: 34 basically kicks off a "fall and redemption" sort of thing, though it's more like a "get punked by a returning character with an extreme makeover, go crazy for a while, become comedy sidekick, then return heroically... kinda." This is where the infamous 753 shirt comes from though, so you'll probably want to check it out.

From 42 on it gets pretty complicated, as that's when things start to wrap up, and I'm a bit iffy on when the really important things happened (aside from in the last 3) but Nago's doing something in most of those episodes.

Also, 17~18 have some Nago stuff in them, but those are written by Yonemura rather than Inoue, and I don't think they quite saw eye to eye on the character. So he comes across as a little more... disturbed. They're good if you want to know just how much Nago loves his buttons, but they feel pretty strange looking back on them now.

I briefly summarized every episode of the series here, btw.

Actually kind of glad this topic was made saves me from asking which kiva episodes are best to watch that I can watch & play with my ixa gear at the same time LOL! What episodes does he get the ixa rising whatever phone/gun on ?!

THE NET MOVIES!
I think it's either 3 or 4.
But it's all batched at Nihon so just get them and waych.
You will never look at him the smae way again.
those mini episodes actually made me like Nago.
