Recently, as in five minutes ago, my souchaku henshin Kaixa had an unfortunate break, one of the plastic bits holding the fingers in placed snapped. Thus I am in seek of some advice on how to fix this instead of dishing out on a new figure (and I'd be dishing out a lot considering the prices on yahoo japan auctions D: ) so anyone got any advice?

Also I thought you know that a thread like this would be pretty useful, I know I've had stuff broken in the past and have benefited from forums with repair advice, so if you have a problem, just post it here and hope someone out there has a solution.

Show us a photo? It'd be better if you indicated how the break happened. There are thingas that are easily repaired, others are next to impossible. I don't quite understad your description, so I don't know if my suggestion will be good or not.

not sure if you can see it clearly here but one of the plastic bits holding the metal pin has snapped, so any suggestions on a fix?

"Just throw it away!" :redface2:

Seriously, I see the part you're talking about. It's what would hold the fingers in place so they can't slip off the rod. As long as you're able to refit the broken piece, gluing it should be enough. It would be best not to move the hand much after the repair, mind you.

Just make sure that when applying any glue, it's only between the broken piece and the hand, not the metal rod. You don't want glue interfering with the rod or the finger articulation, because then you'd be stuck with a hand more potentially fragile than ever.

Any standard superglue or crazy glue should do the trick, as long as you're careful about application and follow all instructions on the label.

pedoleon why did that have a link to animal disks O_o?

And yeah I know to glue it, sadly though half of the plastic bit holding it has gone, it is rather small.

Hummmm now that I think, I feel like getting another Kaixa D: I'm a stickler for these things....plus Kaixa is the rider I put in poses a lot, something this fragile will get really annoying in the future for me.

Anyway thanks for the help, but now I have another question does anyone know the paint used on the Decadriver's Buckle holder, the part with the gems, a lot of paint has chipped off and I want to clean it up for a cosplay.

Number got cut off the URL.

At this rate, you're probably just going to buy a second DecaDriver, so have fun with that.
