Removing W Driver Belt

I want to put my Double Driver back into its box for storage, but of course, the left side does not detach as easily as the right side. How can I remove the side of the belt without the latch?

some say you can just forcefully pull it. i've tried and i don't want to break my DX one however when i bought the almost show accurate double driver briefcase, the seller included a smaller spring that you can swap with the original in the belt's clip on part (the side without the latch). it helps taking out the belt.

anyways, if you want to take yours off i suggest opening it up with a screwdriver.

I open mine with a screwdriver, works fairly well.
